Hi Lovell! Can you believe I haven’t visited Chicago in 11 years?? One of my favorite places. I used to go to the Biograph also ❤️

I wholeheartedly agree with you about vintage posters and/or original artwork. Even classic album posters along with concert ones like you have. Get them framed. Archival if they are rare and worth some dough (plex, not glass, acid-free boards, etc). Great idea for a video, Tim.

Thanks for another great video! Funny thing about art and framing... I have a couple of pieces of art where I can say "The art was less expensive than shipping it to me, and the shipping was less than the cost of framing it!" I have 2 favorite concert posters. One was from a Big Star show in New Orleans in 2000. I went to the show but didn't get the poster. My sister was in New Orleans for something unrelated, saw the poster and took it and then gave it to me for my birthday! The other one is the Fillmore poster from the first time my wife and I saw Radiohead in 1996.

Very nice. Show posters are a great way to relive/remember special events.

I agree, I like to use local businesses rather than big corporations when buying records, there is one in particular where I go almost every week, great selection of new and used albums and not overpriced at all and great friendly owners. I bought just a handful of records through Amazon or Music Direct, never from Discogs.
Framing artwork! I have tons of it filling the walls of 2 homes. Years ago, I used a local shop run by brother and sister, great people who looked like they just left Woodstock, great framing at fair prices and just a few weeks of waiting time, then the shop closed and I started to use Michaels. Not crazy about prices and the whole setup. Lately I switched to Hobby Lobby, good craftmanship, good prices and speedy process. My new to go to framing place. My problem now is lack of free wall space and so artwork has to be placed on hold.

Michaels framed a festival poster from Harly Strictly Bluegrass for me. Their work was top notch to match the top notch artwork from the festival and their price was very reasonable. Work was fast too.

Great topic Tim! You may be the first one in the VC talking about this. So many of us have music related posters. I have a few of my own. Am thinking of cost efficient way to frame different size poster or posters every now and again . Maybe two or three different size frames that would fit different posters, that I may swap them out now and again. As I do not have space to show them all at once. Any ideas or recommendations?
    Cheers!

Are you in the US? My recommendation is to go to Michaels to see all of their frames and also custom options.

Very nice additions Tim! Is there a way to send you an e'mail so we can show you our rooms? I had asked you this before because I was thinking of sending you some duplicate albums, but you didn't seem interested. I did have one original picture that I really like framed at Michaels. They did a lovely job with a really nice colour mat and frame, and I think it still was only around about $50 or so. But, the picture looks HUGELY better.

All that reflective glass is problematic for the acoustics of your listening room. Acoustical room treatments that look like artwork is another option to consider.
