Sherry Lunch home is a legendary restaurant of Mangalore......one gets the best of traditional Mangalore cuisine.....& a whole lot of other cuisines too.......Good ambience, specially the "Anupam restaurant", .......& great food......
The Kundapur one has been sold and the owners have moved to Mangalore, so in essence the Shetty Lunch home in Mangalore is now the original Shetty Lunch home.

@@baboythecoolboy for 1kg chicken put 1tablespoon coriander 1and half spoon cumin, 8garlic cloves, 5cashew, 30 red chilli (u can reduce red chilli as per the spicy level u have) 1tablespoon pepper corn (u can reduce as per ur taste). Make sure to roast all this ingredients in ghee. Grind the masala as instructed. What I have learn from my mistake dont make the paste watery other when roast the flavour will not enhance bcoz of watery texture. Make it like a fine paste water to be add as required u can see the paste how it not watery like that it should be. And rest u can follow what she has shown. Also one more tip. Try to add little masala in chicken and roast the chicken with ghee and make sure all the water is evaporated cook 80%. U can see she put the cooked chicken as chicken has water. Do try it today and let me know ur review I love the strong taste of ghee roast I would not say u will get 100% but there is a taste of ghee roast which satisfies my taste buds. And when ever I get chance I eat out for ghee roast. At the end while serving put lemon juice ur taste will enhance.

Probably because food lovers Tv was not this popular then,But I feel establishments like this which stood with you in your initial days ,You should visit them Back or repost the old videos so that they get right attention.
For anyone who wants to prepare these recipes For chicken roast everything except ginger and garlic, in a tawa or heavy bottom pan put one tsp of oil or ghee in the lowest flame lightly roast chilli remove add to the same pan a small amount of methi/fenugreek seeds quarter tea spoon only it should turn red remove immediately, now add cumin roast lightly add dhanya/corriander seeds roast till light brown add poppy seeds roast lightly till light brown remove, now to the same pan add cashews and fry lightly(adding cashew is optional to make the paste richer you already have poppy) now once you have prepared the roasted ingredients in a mixer grinder add all the roasted items add half an inch of chopped ginger 6-8 cloves of garlic and a tamarind lump the size of a gooseberry/amla salt and a quarter tea spoon of tumeric grind everything into a fine paste adding water, Now this is the original base it is a versatile base my ancestors have been making this dish for ages over 150 years as per elders, if you add grated coconut grinded with cuminseeds and tumeric it turns into sukka, if you make it watery it becomes pulimunchi. Adding methi seeds and tamarind was omited i have included if you dont want dont add please.
When i search for Shetty Lunch home, there's a lot of results that turn up. You mentioned that this started in Kundapura. Do they stil have that branch and is it run by the same 4th generation owners?

For anyone who wants to prepare these recipes for fish masala as mentioned in my other comments you cant fry ginger,garlic,tamarind,tumeric and chilli since you have to soke chilli in water and grind, rest of the ingredients black pepper and cumin can be roasted but not necessary.

@@FoodLoversTV Sir, I am very much sure the taste is fabulous, but just way too much red for the aesthetics...but I have tried the same combo of spice mix with chicken, mushrooms, potatoes and paneer. All were very good, although I used very little ghee in comparison to the Lady chef here and baked all the ingredients instead of frying...wishing you and everyone around you good health! Thank you!
