    Instead of holding square to hot deposit on each chest, I just walk near my chest room and bring up the wheel with the option, hot deposit to all near-by chests.

      I just made it a hotkey in the settings, attached it to the mutation selector wheel because there really isn’t much overlap. That being said, that’s for controller, you obviously have plenty more options using keyboard

    Always wear red ant armor when farming for planks, and use a pallet. You can carry the planks and while relocating the pallet for more materials

      That an exactly what I do. I believe it’s either 16 or 20 on the pallet and then 14 I believe being carried. Or makes building a whole lot quicker lol 😂 thanks for sharing that though. I am sure others would definitely appreciate that tip 😀

    dang you diddnt even talk about how smart the stacking of the chests and palets

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      You know it took me awhile to figure that out , especially the pallets since I had to start with 1.5 total floor spaces to make it work with the plank pallets.
      But when I was making this I didn’t even consider talking about it. That’s definitely a missed opportunity. Thanks for that call out. I have got a few more tips that I have already picked up on since making this video so I will definitely need to make another video and mention that.
      In regards to the chests being stacked. It’s a half ceiling turned sideways. Start at the bottom, place chests, then place the “next level” with the half ceilings then keep going up as high as you want. If you place all the planks first and then the chests, the chests likes to jump around and it takes some messing around with to get it to be in the right place. It’s just easier to go one row at a time from bottom to top.

  • @Emma-rq4ey

    I am definitely going to have to try and copy that Chest and pallet layout. Also thanks for the talking about the load out. I never considered taking the time to set those up. I will definitely need to give it a go.

    I haven’t got to zip lines yet so that’s good to know, and also yeah I had that problem with the chests already. Not sure where I am going to setup a big base yet, once I move I will definitely be placing blueprints for storage first.

    From a player with over 500hrs: For tip one remember to think in 3D aka vertically and horizontally. Your crafting stations can pull from chests above and below them. For example you can build a 2 wall tall storage room filled with chests below your main crafting room above it on a second floor. With this method you will have allot more storage capacity in a smaller footprint.

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      That’s definitely a good tip. There continues to be more and more verticality “perks” in this game.
      There are not a lot of “ideal” or “stand out” building places. Using space above and/or below to create bases that can be defended better or that can keep you farther from creatures/bugs is definitely a plus.
      I had not considered that vertical space for the storage radius pull. So thank you for sharing that, that’s definitely a really good call out.

    You should have talked about how it isn't worth making a large permanent storage room until you have your stack sizes upgraded some more via Mega Milk Molars

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      I haven’t actually upgraded mine yet in this play through. However, that would have been a nice follow up to say after talking about how easy it can be to fill up the storage prior to get molar upgrades. And that having the upgrades will be a huge benefit to total storage capacity. Thanks for pointing that out. I always appreciate all feedback so I can consider things like that when making future videos.

    Yeah nice i do all this but the only thing i do different is, when i want a lot of materials for whatever reason, i just go to settings real fast, go to gameplay and click on time of day time to 10x... then i iust craft Mushroom brick, crude rope, silk rope, etc in seconds. I can craft hundreds in less than 10 min lol

    For tip 5, the oak tree has a stupidly weird hit box and will only let you place zip lines when touching the mushrooms that sprout off the tree. I thought it would be a great place since it's the tallest thing but something about the tree "obstructs" building specifically the zip lines

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад

      I am going to pin this comment. I knew the mushrooms provided structural integrity to the build so even if your stairs at the bottom got broke then your build would be fine. I didn’t know they were a required structural integrity for the zip lines in certain locations. I know what I will be doing when I log back on. A whole lot of deforestation 😂 gonna have to raise the platform up a few levels to make that happen. I appreciate this callout, thank you.

    How do you set up the chest storage? I always struggle with something blocking or the chests tilting and saying there’s too much of an angle 😭

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      Do just 1 layer at a time. Start by placing all the chests you want on the bottom layer. Also ensure that snapping is turned off. Then once you have all the chests that you want, go ahead and place a half ceiling above those chests to create the next layer. Repeat those steps for each layer. I didn’t place the quarter walls on the end of the storage system until the very end of the build.
      Sometimes the game can be weird, and it won’t always line up like you mentioned, especially on the higher levels. Instead of moving your character around, have your character about 1 full ceilings space away from the wall of chests. Then just move your camera instead of your character. You will notice as you move the camera the chest moving around is far less sporadic and gives you more control on how you can place it. It shouldn’t take too long to find the line up you are looking for.
      Also like you said, sometimes the chest will still show red (obstacle in the way or blocked) if that happens then turn snapping on for a moment and rotate the chest a few times on the x axis (horizontally spin it), the chest should then turn blue and let you place it. Then turn snapping off so you can line it up right and place the chest down.
      I hope this helps.

    Do the dew collectors allow water to evaporate from the container?

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад

      I am not quite sure what you mean by that question. But let me see if I can try to answer it. The Dew collectors themselves will not evaporate water. They do drop and get replaced though. Basically it can hold up to 4 droplets, then as time goes on those droplets fall off and are replaced with new ones. If you were to place a water collector beneath a dew collector or if you had some sort of funnel then you could get the water that falls off the dew collector to funnel automatically into a water container. And have a bunch of water saved up.

    • @BrambleJam
      @BrambleJam 3 месяца назад +1

      @ChaosBearGaming sorry, i meant the water collectors. I have a dew collector and i put droplets in the water barrel, but it seems like they never stay full.

    • @ChaosBearGaming
      @ChaosBearGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      @@BrambleJam oh I see what you’re saying. As far as I know they should not be evaporating water at all. You can even move it with the water in it and the water should stay.
