Slingshot Channel is your channel. When someone mentions Slingshot Channel, my brain still recalls Jörg, as in the 'let me show you its features' from Germany guy.
I still love your slingshots; sure, your crazy gadgets brought me in a decade ago, but I love the simplicity of a man doing what he loves for fun. This will always be the Slingshot channel to me.
The name slingshot channel is already iconic, no need to change it. It tells the new viewers the roots of this channel and make them watch how this channel started.
Rebranding is such a serious business decision that I couldn't possibly presume to pass that judgement on to another's endeavor. I have always viewed your videos as a source of participating in a man's passion for unconventional survival tools. Whilst I admire and enjoy your pieces of art you have created; I also enjoy the practical applications of use you bring to us.
This will always be The Slingshot Channel! Doesn't matter what else you make, you are always looking for new ways to build a slingshot, and have created designs unlike anyone else. Can't only do that, though. I like the fact that you change things up, it keeps the channel interesting.
I do miss the good old slingshot-focused videos. I don't need the whole channel to focus on them, of course, but I always liked seeing your enthusiasm and craftsmanship when you built them.
I would say the channel is more about "modernizing defensive tools that don't utilize gunpowder to fit laws that would otherwise force you to be a prey animal" as opposed to a "slingshot" channel.. I joined for the slingshots and stuck around because you're a great person with a good head on their shoulders.
Jörg its still the slingshot channel. And the slingshots arent boring they are amazing and always a fun watch. The crossbows and catapaults and everything else is just a cherry on top as its nice to know that the slingshots are still a focus of yours that the passion you have for them still burns brightly. I love the death adder crossbow i bought a few years back and cant wait to afford the fenris. Keep up the great work and always show the features l!
The buffalo horn slingshot is gorgeous! Horn, antler, and bone are really versatile and quite attractive building materials, and I don't think they get enough love these days.
It definetly has become a Crossbow & Airgun Promotion channel. Also interesting, but I also would like to see a return of what made this channel famous: Crazy fun inventions!
I thought this is Joerg Sprave channel. No matter what content you will create, your channel will always be about YOU making stuff. Will it be slingshots, crossbow, knives or whatever. As long as you are happy with it, I'll watch it with a smile on my face. Please don't let it bother you too much. :)
JoergSprave you could be showing us the features of the plywood heel you’ve fashioned to match your space boot and you’d still be the slingshot channel
The Slingshot Channel is what made you famous and for long time viewers still holds a good deal of nostalgia. Personally, I usually prefer the older-style content but I understand the shift to to something that makes money. It is, after all, your job. You should probably keep the name but also give us original fans some actual slingshot content a bit more often. I'd also like to see an occasional crazy build. Ultimately, though, it's your channel and you should do what you enjoy and/or what pays the bills.
Long time fan of all your work but I will admit, it brings a happy tear to my eye to see some new slingshot content 😢😊 Actually, an idea or two: small videos like this where you show a bunch of your new slingshots in one go would be really engaging to me as a series, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Maybe - if you feel like it, of course - short videos of your current slingshot projects (maybe a weekly/bi-weekly thing; "Slingshot Sundays," perhaps lol), or even actual RUclips Shorts about them, would be a welcome addition to the channel? I'd hate for you to think showing us your passion is "boring;" we know why we're here, and that's for you and what makes you happy Mr. Sprave! Plus, it's always good to have a solid "anchor" for a channel to have running along in the background for consistency, while you put focus into larger projects. Whatever you decide to do, this video was more heartwarming than you know. You're not just TheSlingshotChannel, you're THE Slingshot Channel. ❤
I personally would love to see more slingshot videos, and even more process of making slingshot videos. I don't think it'd be possible for you to be boring Joerg, you bring this infectious energy and laugh to every video I've seen of yours! (except the ones that are supposed to be serious...)
Keep the name, Jörg, this is still fun to watch! Having said that, I guess we are all aware of it being in actual fact more the Gogun-advertisement channel than anything else. Oh for the days of the world's biggest slingshot, shooting bowling balls, or the one shooting your Christman tree - The videos that made the "Sprave-Lough" an iconic feature of the youtube world! But I guess that's just the way things go and I am sure everybody here is happy to see your commercial success. It demonstrates to all of us struggling to get views that it CAN be done. Carry on!!
Whatever you call the channel it is one of the all time greats. That buffalo horn is my favourite slingshot of them all. An absolute winner of form and function.
I've watched your videos nearly since you started. I loved watching your new homemade slingshots and learning about the different bands and ammo. Those were simpler times... both for the channel and for my life at the time.
I've watched you for a very longtime now. I miss the old machines, weapons, and gadgets you would make. I loved seeing the creativity and brainstorming that would come from it. Then at the end it would come all together!! I do also enjoy the new videos too though. Just do what makes YOU happy. For not just me but a lot of us, you'll always be the slingshot channel :)
Hunting vids would be good do you have squirrels in germany? Another good vid would be if you followed the exact molding methods of the foundry you visited and cast your own slingshot.
To be honest, everything you do here is pretty awesome. From slingshots, crossbows, the instant Legolas, I'm wondering if or when you'll expand to slings, staff slings and atlatls. You make it fun to listen to and interesting to hear about the little details and observations and breakdowns of what you're reviewing. Slingshot Channel still fits because your love for slingshots is a great point of view when you look at other material throwing tech like crossbows. It's all different ways to basically throw things without some kind of propellent beyond leverage and some kind of rubber band or spring. Which is awesome.
Whatever you call it it's been worth watching! Do miss the plywood magic you used to come up with do like the commercial stuff you've come up with just not as entertaining as watching you build something wonderful.😊
My favorite old “Slingshot” video, was the candy one where you licked the candy and it snapped back and hit your hand. That was so funny because when it first happened I was like “WTH happened?”. Then you played the slowmo. So funny.
the horn one is beautiful. love the roughened black texture that gives way to the polish. looks so cool. Definitely still the Slingshot channel and will be forever.
Never stop laughing Joerg! It's infectious. I've been a subscriber since... Forever. The early days of the channel, well before monetisation and paid advertising took some of the joy out of youtube. I loved your slingshots in the beginning, and I enjoyed watching the channel grow and change with you. My advice? Do what makes you happy. A mix of handmade slingshots and modern creations is perfect IMO. I REALLY enjoyed your collaboration with Tod's Workshop, please do more of those - I watch both of your channels because you're passionate about what's in the videos, and it shows through. I haven't shot a slingshot in probably 15 years, maybe more - but I keep coming back here. Regarding the slingshots in the video, both the horn slingshots are stunning. On a different note, I'm sure a few of us are hoping the damage from your fire wasn't too bad and the rebuilding is going ok.
Well sir. In all honesty it was you that made me buy first a normal pistol crossbow ek archery, then an adder and vlad for which ive kitted out with a genuine trijicon RMR and genuine sig saur romeo5 plus all manner of customised. Love it. But i also bought thanx to you- a compound slingshot via springs from china which also doesn't just shoot pellets or stones, but what i use it for, is darts.... Granted its the archery or owning something as lethal as any gun for defence (even if in reality in the uk by law i should die and the law decide if a crime happened as opposed to common sense. ) via the crossbows, But - i still tune in for the slingshot and other crazy contraptions. Keep it as its always been. Im an oldskool believer in keeping tradition and heritage. Millionaire or not. Im due to inherit (not at that level, but half) - that doesn't difine me. Nor you. Besides, yours 8s success - which originated from....ergo - slingshots. Dont rebrand in my pointless opinion.
The horn slingshot that wraps around your wrist is gorgeous. All of them are, but that's my favorite. I started watching when you were making crossbows and slingshots. Everything you make is amazing. You're still the Slingshot channel to me. 🙂🖖❤️
I think that you are absolutely still in touch with your roots, and the spirit that made me subscribe way back in the day! Keep the name, and stay a legend 🙏🏻
i really enjoy all the things you make Joerg, i showed your channel to my nephews and they always watch your new ones and they even started making their own slingshots! you inspire a generation
Having this single video purely about slingshots just remembered me of the good old times I started watching your videos and made me smile instantly. All people and especially youtube channels change and so are you allowed to. But once in a while it is just so much fun to look back.
I love your videos about slingshots. Admittedly I didn't watch every single one of them, but I always tuned in every now and again. I never thought your content was boring, I was justhaving fun while watching a guy make slingshots and have fun as well. Keep having fun, Joerg!
No need to change anything. It is obvious that hobbies are develop and transform during time. Sometimes we will make full circles. Roots will stay unchanged. Cheers!
For me your channel is still about home made stuff, ingenuity and creativity and most importantly FUN. I think the Slingshot is the perfect item to represent those values.
joerg, your og and loyal subscribers will always appreciate any content you give them, from you just talking about stuff, to a montage of you building, and ESPECIALLY showing your of collection of slingshots!
Excellent video! Just a PSA for dog owners: things like antlers, horns, and bones are not safe chew toys for dogs, as they can fracture teeth (or cause damage by swallowing chunks). Source: every veterinarian and dental specialist with whom I've worked.
I like all your videos... But I truly miss the crazy machines and would love them to return.
this!
crazy machines ftw :D
I liked the chainsaw slingshot the most. Sadly YT removed it...
@@wurstelei1356 lol WHY?
Slingshot Channel is your channel. When someone mentions Slingshot Channel, my brain still recalls Jörg, as in the 'let me show you its features' from Germany guy.
Andere haben "Bushcraft kanäle" und hocken nur im Studio mit kopfhörern, der Kanalname ist nunmal das wiedererkennungszeichen
It's "The Slingshot Channel"
Many "the pencil weaponiiser channel"
Jörg is Shooting more accurate with a slingshot than with a crossbow.
Clear point for "the slingshot channel" 😂
well that or he would be in deep do do during middevil times .
You are the Legendary Joerg Sprave you can make what ever you want and name it as you wish my friend !!! ,)))
Oh yeah!
"SLINGGSHOT CHANNEL"!
I remember your first videos!
It's been pure pleasure watching all the creative engineering.
Stay true to your ROOTS!
It's "The Slingshot Channel"
That buffalo horn slingshot is so beautiful. The way it organically wraps around the wrist seems so solid and elegant. Great job
Yeah that's awesome. Wanna know where to buy his elastic to fit on my compound slingshot with 4 springs...
I still love your slingshots; sure, your crazy gadgets brought me in a decade ago, but I love the simplicity of a man doing what he loves for fun.
This will always be the Slingshot channel to me.
I like how Jörg has not lost a step with hitting cans with his handmade slingshots, even with all the distractions. :)
I've really missed the sling shots. More please sir.
Finally. A slingshot on the slingshot channel.
I mean I think most people who watch this channel do it to see Joerg create weapons and test them. Whether it's a slingshot or not doesn't matter.
@@pacmonster066 yeah we're all just fans of Joerg👍
Still love that laugh!!! ha ha ha Keep up the wonderful work. Best and only real slingshot channel ever.
The name slingshot channel is already iconic, no need to change it. It tells the new viewers the roots of this channel and make them watch how this channel started.
Keep it Slingshot Channel, it shows where it all started and where you came from! Keep up the good work and much appreciation from your fellow Germans
Best damn practical tactical channel on RUclips. Big love, thank you for sharing.
Rebranding is such a serious business decision that I couldn't possibly presume to pass that judgement on to another's endeavor. Long time viewer from the USA. Bow, slingshot, weird plywood miracles...never stop!
Don't change anything. Be you and Keep On Keepin On!!!¡!!!
I miss some of your older content… Amazing inventions and super cool ideas. Keep up the AWESOMESAUCE!!!
The horned slingshot is super, super cool! I love how it is simultaneously ultra high-tech and primitive looking.
Great work Sir ! Thank you for all of you work!
I live for that "ha ha ha" 🤣
Beautiful craftsmanship. Is it hard to balance durability, comfortability, and style?
Yes, but exactly that challenge keeps fascinating me.
I do miss the good old slingshot-focused videos. I don't need the whole channel to focus on them, of course, but I always liked seeing your enthusiasm and craftsmanship when you built them.

I absolutely adore the buffalo horn, it's spectacular.
The buffalo horn slingshot is gorgeous! Horn, antler, and bone are really versatile and quite attractive building materials, and I don't think they get enough love these days.

Joerg, i loved all the homemade slingshots and i missed seeing these beautiful slingshots

I miss those days. I don't think it's been the og slingshot channel for a while
Agree
Like the reviews and cross bow stuff... But it was always about the crazy ass gadgets and they've been sorely missed
@sarchlalaith8836 Well, yeah. But the german laws have gotten worse since then.
Yeah, RUclips’s bullshit has forced a lot of channel to change in different ways to survive.
I agree as well. I skip most of his videos for the last years. Theyre not as interesting as they used to be.

slings grew into many things so yes, it is natural to show where that goes, and still remember the beginning.
well done, much more to continue I hope.
