The BBC not being biased is so laughable.
The BBC have been biased for years. I joined thousands of country people on the Countryside Marches when Tony Blair’s government wanted to stop fox hunting. On one of the marches there was an estimated 250,000 people marching (a huge number) and yet it didn’t even get a mention on the 10,o’clock News that evening and barely a mention on following days.
Since then it has become openly biased against many traditional British views.
Sadly I no longer watch BBC news and hardly any programmes though I still have to pay for a service I am not getting or risk jail. I do watch ITV news ,it is still very biased but not quite to the extent of BBC.
NOT one word the BBC presenters are saying is true.

Not sure what ofcom's purpose is, mainstream TV news is now an absolute joke, few believe anything they say now, and ofcom let it happen. It was supposedly their job to regulate the news.

Oh this is funny , I just fell out of my chair. Nick Robinson is the main reason I will not watch BBC or listen to Radio 4. The bias of Nick Robinson is beyond belief.. The man gives an easy ride to labour interviews and on Tory interviews , he constantly interrupts talking absolute twaddle. Could not stand the bias of him , had to turn off. That's why thank heavens , during Brexit I found Mahyar. Truly saved my laptop from learning to fly.

The BBC is officially state funded. It isn't directly funded through taxation as state broadcasyers in most countries are. The Licence Fee is unique in that the BBC is editorially independent.

Nick Robinson is fine with GMB being a party political broadcast on behalf of the Labour party every single day with Labour members and supporters presenting, he's fine with Labour MP's presenting on LBC, he's fine with Labour activists having their own shows on ITV, he's fine with Labour MP's and members writing for The Guardian, he's fine with the BBC having a pro-Labour bias, but when Tory MP's present on GB News suddenly it's a problem. Nick Robinson would do well to remember that the BBC has additional responsibilities of Impartiality as It's publicly funded whereas GB News Is a private broadcaster subject only to the Ofcom rules and regs regarding impartiality. If he wants to be able to speak more freely maybe he should drop his huge BBC salary and gold plated pension and join an Independent broadcaster.

Ofcom have a statutory duty to ensure that there is due impartiality by all broadcasters (i.e. radio and TV providers in the UK). Compliance is necessary to obtain a broadcasting licence.
Their rules say that anyone seeking election cannot present 'news' programmes during the six weeks before an election, but anyone else, who is not a candidate can, and yes that includes Nigel Farage, unless he stands for election.
This is NOT censorship, it is part of free speech and democracy.
I don't watch any news channels anymore, when I see it anywhere else I can't believe how manipulative it is. Don't pay the licence!
