It was actually the male voice they were asking about but they just thought it was a she lol 😂 Mickey Thomas sings all the belts for last minute of the song.
@@JadeK297 - no, they were asking about the female voice, which is Grace Slick.. if you see the video for this song, you will see Grace is singing half of the end of the song..

Love this song. It was in the movie Mannequin. Which was also awesome. If y'all get the chance you should watch it. A side note Mickey Thomas singing lead with Grace Slick on this is the guy who sang "Fooled around and fell in love" with the Elvin Bishop band in the 70s.
I went to the movies with my late husband to see this. Great movie ( The Manniquin, wrong spelling I think. Lol) The 80s had such amazing movies& music!! My late husband passed when I was 31& he was 35. We have 3 kiddos and @ the time the kiddos were 15, 13& 9. The hardest thing that I've ever had to do in my life was to tell those boys that their daddy was gone. My heart is still broken 💔 from that.😭 Always love, hug, and tell your people that you love them everyday!!! I love ya'll, HUGS 🤗❤
Sorry for your loss ! I can understand how much you still miss him. I can only feel for your loss, probably sitting miles away - you are the one who is going through these feelings. I can also relate to every word you said about "always love, hug, and tell your people that you love them everyday". You take care Ursula. God Bless !
Alot of people had childhood sweethearts. We went out on our own at 18 and songs like these were inspirational. Years later and children and real situations, these songs become true.
Grace Slick, the female vocalist on here, was a legendary rock star from the 60s (she was one of the great performers at Woodstock). She is retired these days even though Mickey Thomas tours with Starship
This band started in the 60s as Jefferson Airplane. In the 70s they became Jefferson Starship, and when founding guitarist Paul Kantner left, they became Starship. Grace Slick has been in the band since the Airplane days. She sang 2 of the Airplane's biggest hits, White Rabbit and Somebody To Love.
Aww, I have always loved this song. I think Asia and BJ should do this as a duet one night before the end of a Livestream. Love you both and this family.❤❤❤
Yay! This is from Mannequin! The movie I’ve been trying to get you to react to. It’s also the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding… in 2009, since when I saw this movie in the 80s, as a child, I always dreamed of it being my wedding song! Such a great love ballad. Listen to “We Built This City” too if you get a chance!❤❤❤
I'll be 50 later this year, and this has always been one of my favorite songs, from one of my favorite bands. By the way, in the video, the two other women who are singing backup are called The Nasty Habits, and they would go on to be the backup singers for Motley Crue. Cheers from northeast Ohio.
Asia & BJ, “Sara” & “We Built This City” are their other hits. I prefer the Jefferson Starship and Jefferson Airplane songs. You’ll love Jefferson Starships- “Miracles”, “Play On Love” and “Count On Me”. Chronologically it was Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and then Starship. Grace Slick was in all 3.
Mickey Thomas, Mickey Thomas, Mickey Thomas! Grace Slick is great too, but most people don’t realize it was Mickey really killing it in this song. Especially at the end…. Those amazing power vocals was him. 🎶❤️
Mickey Thomas is one of the greatest singers of all time. Starship "I didn't mean to stay all night" and " Say When". Are amazing timeless songs. You guys will love them. Both will be your new favorite songs. Thank you so much for everything!!!!
Just had to say of all the reactors/content creators, you both are by far my absolute favorite. Especially with stuff like this because it is legit genuine. Thanks
This is a great song from the late eighties by Starship. Here are a few songs you could react to: Attack Me With Your Love by Cameo, Baby Talk by Alisha and Bamboleo by Garcia. Have a great day!
That's Grace Slick singing and Mickey Thomas. Fact: the band has its roots from the 60s counter cultural 'Jefferson Airplane' that featured Slick. They were at Woodstock!
Grace Slick was in the original Jefferson Airplane and they had an early hit called White Rabbit. They had to change the name of the band because of a lawsuit by the company that owned a real airline with that name so they changed to to Jefferson Starship. They later dropped the Jefferson part and became just Starship.
I'm sure you remember Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane. White Rabbit is one of my favorite song of there's. Then there was Jefferson Starship. I think maybe... We built this city...(on Rock-n-Roll) Then they became just Starship. I hate to admit it buy I remembered how time the band changed their name. 😮😮 ❤❤ not as old as some but alot older then some will ever be. 😢😅 it's life One random act of kindness is all it takes to change the world. Grace Slick is an icon and was more of the lead when the band was called Jefferson Airplane (then Jefferson Starship, then Starship). If you have not done it yet, check out Airplane's White Rabbit
Out of all music genres this is my all time favourite song ,period. I remember going to see the movie fantasy Rom Com Mannequin in my teenage years in the eighties and this was the main song on it's soundtrack. It got to number one over here in the UK. This song makes me remonise about my teenage years 😢. As a big fan of Def Leppard, Poison and even Alice Cooper am I embarrassed to admit to all these facts? Heck NOOOOOOO 🎸🥁🎹🤘🤣🤣

Alot of people had childhood sweethearts. We went out on our own at 18 and songs like these were inspirational. Years later and children and real situations, these songs become true.
This one is a real 80's classic. It really embodies what it was like to live in the 80's.

Grace Slick, the female vocalist on here, was a legendary rock star from the 60s (she was one of the great performers at Woodstock). She is retired these days even though Mickey Thomas tours with Starship
