After the release of her debut album "Set Loose" last year, Joyce has started a new series of originals, named “the New Etudes”, which incorporate synthesizers and instruments such as guitar, violin and cello. An etude is a musical composition in the late 18th century, which is originally a study or technical exercise. Joyce was inspired to write these pieces while finding ways to put her practice routines into use. Each one of these etudes focuses on a single musical idea, a rhythmic pattern or just a single note.
