Requiref for boats with more than 13 pax: Radar, waterproof handheld radio, eperbs portable satelite location systems with unique identifyer number, search and rescue transponders (helps locate vessels who are in emergency situation.. bigger arcs means youre getting closer to the vessel. 5mile range), navtex (forecast and navigational warnings)
