    My first Tuba Record was Roger's 1st album,the one with the black and white cover.Was and still am a fan of Roger however then I heard the Late JohnFletcher. So it's a tie between those and the also Dave Bargeron and Howard Johnson too.

    Tuba is not so much the Cadillac of horns as much as Packard is. Packard is the Cadillac of Tubas....

    Such a polar opposite of Arnold Jacobs yet both were revered. Bobo's sound is about as bright as can be tolerated (barely) I don't know of anyone else who had that sound ever while many aspired for it. The Jake tones can be produced by many players.
