My first Tuba Record was Roger's 1st album, the one with the black and white cover. Was and still am a fan of Roger however then I heard the Late JohnFletcher. So it's a tie between those and the also Dave Bargeron and Howard Johnson too.
ive been doing this song by ear but i need the actual solo so i can use in my recitle coming up, does anyone know where i can find this version of this song?
Such a polar opposite of Arnold Jacobs yet both were revered. Bobo's sound is about as bright as can be tolerated (barely) I don't know of anyone else who had that sound ever while many aspired for it. The Jake tones can be produced by many players.
I'm absolutely blown away by this. Wonderful, wonderful. What a master tubist!
I think I'm in love with his tone.
Amazing... Tis inspirational for the aspiring tubist.
