  • The 2021 and newer Winnebago Revel has the fresh water connection on the inside. This is very inconvenient for several reasons. In this video, I am adding an additional external water connect so I can fill the tank or connect to city water with the rear doors closed and without any water spills on the inside.

$185,000 plumbing lesson. That's how much you should charge Winnebago for your on-line tutor class. Well done.

I love your videos and tips! Seems like you keep adding to the list of to-do's for my van! How do you create the labels for the water panel and for the ones you you showed in your "More Upgrades" Video? Would you be able to share the templates for the labels or create a video on how you do this?

thank you. Most of the signs and labels I make with Affinity Designer, a super powerful (and relatively cheap) graphics design tool. You get a glimpse of it in my "Custom Switch Panel" video. I then either print the design on paper or transparent film or cut it out with a vinyl cutter. I can send you the template, just reach out via email and I'll send you what I have. if you want to learn more about Affinity Designer and its "sister product" Affinity Photo, head over to the www.youtube.com/@AffinityRevolution RUclips channel.

I believe that the reason Winnebago put the water connections inside was to have all the water tanks and water connections in the climate control to help avoid water tanks freezing in winter. The thought being that most Revel owners are more likely to be camping off grid and away from campgrounds with hookups

hi Justin, yes and I really like having the tank itself inside the van. that was indeed a good upgrade over the 2020 and earlier Revels. Still, the connection to fill the tank should be on the outside. it keeps any drips/spills while filling the tank out of the living area. But I'm not complaining. Even if I did in the video, to add a little bit of drama 🙂. If Winnebago had added an external connect; I could not have made this video

why not just fit a passthrough on the door with a male hose connection on each side? then you could connect a flixi hose to the door and the existing internal connection and coonect a hose between the door and the water supply?

there are a ton of different ways to accomplish the same thing. even with only the 180° doors of the Revel, a flex hose through the rear door would have to bridge quite a distance. Might be do-able but might not be "clean". I aimed for a 100% invisible solution without giving up the internal fill.
