Black Spot is spreading on my Rugosa Rose bushes. Stripped off the affected leaves off yesterday, but today it's back with a vengeance. Will try what you've suggested!
awesome video, cannot wait to see how it work out on roses. And a kind remind, you might want more cal and mag for LED growing indoors for your babies. :)
Great video. Thanks. Is it safe for the garden to compost the infected leaves, or must on dispose of them elsewhere, such as to cook them into biochar?
It's an unusual request! Most the of the newer LEDs are made for indoor or greenhouse use, and wouldn't be expected to take the weather. You could look at some of the LED COB security lights - they wouldn't be as full spectrum or efficient, but are housed for outdoor use.
Hello! Your channel is so helpful. I'm growing a Damask rose from a seed packet indoors. I'm planning on starting by putting 3 seeds in the pot, in African Violet Soil mix (perlite and Coco Coire included) and setting it up next to our brightest sunniest south window. I live in PA and we have some muggy summers. I was hoping to transfer the rose eventually to my (also indoor) sun room, which is the sunniest room, but also muggy in the summer. I could open many windows for air flow in there. Could this work? Any other recommendations based off the information I provided? Thanks!
sorry if this was answered but can you give a rose plant 18 hours of light a day? I was considering putting a rose plant in my tent but will need to make sure the plant can have the same amount of light
I bought a 35W light for indoor plants. Is this adequate for an indoor miniature hybrid rose? Is it true that I need a lower wattage on alternate days? What wattage for the two alternating days, Day One versus Day Two? Can I order miniature roses from you?
Roses are not sensitive to daylength, but more hours=more energy. I went with 16 hours or so. 12 would be fine. Some plants respond differently to changes in light hours.
Hi GoodDay I’m from Trinidad and I’m interested in growing roses indoor because the climate of my country is not conducive of the roses natural environment, how do I contact you to have discussion, I’m 21 and this is my first attempt at growing
Standard weed lamp 🤣 It always makes me lift a brow when people say things can't be grown indoors. Like.. have you seen an indoor farm?? You can grow anything inside
So long as you attend to all their other environmental needs, there's no real limit to what you can grow indoors. Some plants are easier & more practical through. Succulents, tropicals, cacti, forcing bulbs.
A lot of that depends on where you live. Do you live in a shithole like California with High Electricity prices or someplace like Rural ND with low prices? How many lights will you be running? What kind HPS, Florescent, LED? What wattage? Will you being running Fans humidifiers etc?
This was the exact video I was looking for, thank you so much for deciding to do it.
Great tutorials Keep them coming, Sir. 👍🙏.

I compost as normal, but I don't apply the finished compost back onto roses.
What light can you use outdoors? My roses are in extreme shade at this time. And I want to have a rose climber out front where there is shade 24/7.

Yes, for sure - better air flow and ventilation is very welcome for roses.

@@FraserValleyRoseFarm Hello again! I just wanted to update you. My plan and your advice has worked. I have my first seedling! Thanks again.😊🌱
You help 😊
Thanks, Jason. Can you comment on whether these treatments are harmful to the wildlife critters?
Growing indoors doesn't have much impact, so far as I can figure, on outdoor wildlife.
Oh, sorry, this comment was meant for your video on blackspot treatments. Your video is very helpful and interesting.
Oh, got you. No, the bicarbonate spray is pretty targeted and non-toxic
sorry if this was answered but can you give a rose plant 18 hours of light a day? I was considering putting a rose plant in my tent but will need to make sure the plant can have the same amount of light
You sure can. Roses don't respond to day length the way cannabis does - just to overall light energy
@@FraserValleyRoseFarm thank you and I hope to see more videos. Subscribed
It may needs to fertilize more calcium and magnesium for roses under LED grow light.

U gotta do another research lmao. Ur research is completely off
How much hours of light would a plant require per day?
Roses are not sensitive to daylength, but more hours=more energy. I went with 16 hours or so. 12 would be fine. Some plants respond differently to changes in light hours.
Lets see how she will do on your rose cuttings?

I do my best to answer questions here on RUclips, but I have no free time to help one-on-one. Sorry

@@flygodfelix4294 hellll ya just bought a set to start growing
@@flygodfelix4294actually that has really got me into gardening, seeing I can grow that well, I wanted to try m hand at roses
What's your light schedule? How many hours on and off for blooming?
I've been doing 12 hours if the LED is the sole source of lighting. 8 hours if it's just supplemental to sunlight.
Thank you
Do u have a lux reading for those roses under grow light?
No, but I'll do something on the topic of light measurement upcoming
its been 2 years now, since the video uploaded. is there any update?
I think I did an update video at the time: ruclips.net/video/DFHaVlzDvVg/видео.html
