The sports side is competitive, but against yourself. You need to DRILL a few days a week. Say you skate 7 days a week. You could "just skate" (cleaner and more consistently) 4 days and drill 3 days; which would make them fun because they have a purpose. A balance between motivation and inspiration is optimal. If you go faster you'll be safer. The forward and downward momentum when falling gives you more time to fall, you mind speeds up in that "more time", and if you hit the ground you'll slide or roll; which absorbs impact. Your monkey/lizard-brain comes online when you go faster, too. It sparked something, my dooby! 🌬
