Well when it's been in development for literal years it'd better be good
Sweet tooth was definitely the star of every scene he was in.
But the rest of the show could not have stood on sweet tooth alone.
The whole thing had a very good balance of serious, funny and psychotic. And the show did a great job of character development, instead of just relying on weaponized demolition derby scenes.
I can't get past episode 5. Can't stand quiet

Played all Twisted Metals for the last 28 years, I had extremely high level expectations for this to pull off. No one has ever seen a prelude to the Twisted Metal Tournament with back stories that were never portrayed so……this is my new favorite show! They did an excellent job, and Sweet Tooth is absolutely on point! Can’t wait for season 2!!

I got Axel, hammerhead, sweet tooth, roberts siblings in outlaw, Mr. Grimm, twister, roadkill, warthog, darkside, spectre, and maybe flower power.
With the possibility of Mr. Slam, pizzaboy, raven, preacher, shadow (quiets brother will be the driver of the Hurst), thumper, and minion. There is 4 other drivers from the bar fight that would be possible as well.
This was a great show. Watched all ten episodes tonight at work.

Honestly at first I thought the show was gonna be bad but after watching it it’s not bad at all it’s actually one of the best and better video game adaptations like sonic the hedgehog Pikachu and the last of us Hopefully we do get a season two

1:26 When Sweet Tooth said "Well you said you were coming to my show, THEN YOU SHOT AT ME!!!" I was expecting the storyline to be, John Doe loses his memory at the start of the show (or something); at one point he met up with Sweet Tooth, and he (ST) ask John if he wanted to see his show (shown by a flashback). And when John meets up ST again, he shoots him (ST) out of fear; by car.
Sweet tooth is the only reason I watch the show!

I watched the 1st free episode, it was so good. I’m watching the old video game cut scenes, the characters’ stories were really dark.
The whole show was entertaining.
I don't have Peacock but I'll definitely get the DVD/Blu-ray for season one if it becomes available. Nice reference at 0:45 for the "Twisted Metal 2" code for Mega Machine Guns or maybe it's Invincibility, can't remember it's been a while.
Why not it’s free and they have a good catalog of movies and shows so you should download and watch while you can before they start charging a premium.

I agree. I heard of the game and saw pics of the clown b4, but didn’t know much about it. I think it was wacky in a fun way. Anthony Mackie was very good too. I like Neve Campbell as a villain, different for her and done well.
God this makes me wanna play the old school game, I can still remember playing that game so many years ago!!! There was one level that was a ski resort and you could jump into the ski lift and get weapons upgrade!!

I definitely had a nostalgia trip hearing Sweet Tooth's intro music, I can't pinpoint which soundtrack in the games are it though (I only played TM2, Black, Small Brawl, and 2012)

Agreed. There's no continuity between games besides the basic plotline, and that allows things to be fresh every single time.

Why didn’t they just have Joe do the voice of Sweet Tooth?
So I was confused about this. Sweet tooth is credited as being played by 2 actors, so the 1 guy it’s him, but a voice over is done by another actor? I saw the guy (the physical actor), he is a wrestler and his voice sounds similar to the voice over dude.
They probably tried it and found it didn't work
Probably had to do with line delivery.
Might be a case that they could have Samoa Joe do the voice if Marcus is in control and Will Arnett doing the voice when he's Needles.
What makes it funny, is that sweet tooth is basically The Joker. Will arnett voiced a lot of animated Batman. So for him to reverse roles is definitely entertaining.
And Will arnett is really good at delivering lines with voice inflections, which is part of the reason sweet tooth was so psychotic.
But don't get me wrong, Samoa Joe did a fantastic job as well. The twitching and shaking and the goofy eye movements and head movements at the exact right times absolutely sold it.
Not to mention, Samoa clearly was speaking the same lines because you could see his throat move with the words.
I think the Subaru Impreza WRX STi (GDBA) is a good car. Should've been used for the Initial D anime.

I think that's what's so good about it; it's not this big, grand, complex show that you have to really be emotionally ready for like Breaking Bad or whatever; it's dramatic, funny, goofy, and lots of fun. Simple.

He's like a anti hero but turns more into a villain in the last couple episodes

Haven't seen it, but does it properly follow the lore of the original games? The messed up back stories and epilogues some of the best parts
Not as of yet. All it really carries from the games is John Doe having amnesia. What they DO give us is original and very well written. Tons of references to the games in a way that's clear the showrunner is a fan and not just some corporate idiot trying to appeal to an audience. Lots of fun.
