Man that thing rips pretty good in the grass. This could be the best hobby grade RC for under $100 on the market right now. I can’t wait to get mine when I hit 2k subs! Almost there! Great video!!
Yeah, I was surprised. Much better ground clearance than the A959/A959-B. It did good, in my opinion. Great that you will get one. And congrats for the near-2K!
I just got one for the grandkids today. Trying to get it apart to grease the diffs. Quite a job so far! But hopefully worth it! Can't wait to watch them tear it up!😊
I ordered this one yesterday to try it out, great video man!! Keep them up, thanks for the reviews. 144001 and a959b Both entry level hobby grade buggies for the price are more than ok.
Hi Mikael. Great video. Looks like it coped pretty well. Awesome jumps. I predict that you can break it if you try hard enough for long enough. I'll find out on the next video I guess. Best wishes to you mate :-)
Hi Pete! Thanks! Yeah, between you and me, I can break everything with my little ramp and bad landings 🙃 Best wishes to you too. Have a great week Pete.
WLToys had the good idea to base this model on the LC Racing EMB 1/14 which is a great RC for the price (the EMB-T brusless is really great for indoor carpet race). Unfortunatly they become harder to find (look in Germany), but I would still choose the LC as some are brushless OTB and has the transmission to handle it. Most of the parts are compatible.
Having rebuilt a 14401 to brushless/LB spec i would agree and just go witht he LB directly next time. all those issues people bring up are less of an issue in that chassis
Its a great car for the money but the diffs will strip after a couple hours use. Upgraded parts are cheap but they take a long time to arrive.Best to order them even if you dont need them right now!
Hey Mikael! How are you? I hope yours are well too. Well, it looks like your little Chinese buggy is doing well on your well mowed grass. . . We'll see if you managed to make him happy on your jump ramp! By the way, when are you doing your own track? Mine's done and it's waiting for you. You've got enough to make two or three according to the amount of garden space you have. . . Let's get to work my friend! You'll see how great it is to have your own track at home! Take care of yourself and yours dear Mikael, let's keep the light on ! 🕯
Hi Alex! I am good! Hope you are good too, and are enjoying your new track. Yeah, a lot of room here, we just haven't decided how/where it will be. And lot's of other maintenance and gardening jobs. Hard to keep up. New kitchen garden right now, which takes up a lot of time. But some day a track, or a dirt place too for the RC's :-) Currently I am just building a dirt jump. Better than nothing.
@@NordicRC Ah the gardening work. . . We must not become slaves to our gardens, and find solutions to live with this nature to which we owe so much. . . but you already know that much better than I do. . .
Do you have a heating problem with the motor receiver and Battery on this car because I do I think I'm going to have to cut into the body to get airflow into it and ESC.
No, no heat issues at all. But often when filming there’s a lot of breaks (setting up cameras etc). Maybe I should do a test where I run it constantly for one battery and then measure the temp. But yes, some air flow is always a good thing.
Hi Charlie! Thanks! No, the motor was fine, but it can be a bit hard to know, with filming ... all the pauses setting up cameras. But yeah, the grass can really be hard on motors. If I run here without filming I usually check up on the motor heat, a couple of times during each battery. In the summer, on hot days, the motors can easily get burning hot running on grass. Hope you've had a splendid week, Charlie, and will enjoy the weekend.
'buggy rolls on side', now i remembered why i put diff oil in the thing despite how annoying it is to do so really recommend that upgrade, on grass makes a world of difference as you are likly losing traction on one wheel all the time and not noticing it because you have enough momentum for the other wheel to get on the ground. dont even need good diff oil anything will work and make a massive difference
Nice. I think that's the best compliment to a WLToys, That it looked like a Kyosho at first glance :-) And yeah, not for everybody these ones. Thanks a lot for watching, bro.
Nordic RC Visions it was definitely the shocks that caught my attention lol it looks like a nice buggy. I just wish they made the drive train very durable, used standard wheels and tires, and most importantly, standard RC electronics and motor/pinion.. possibly throw in a 540 sized motor in this buggy would’ve been a good idea 🤔
D04? You mean the DF-03? Not sure if it performs better. So different buggies. The rear diff on the DF-03 is really weak. Heard people say the same about the 144001.
Who mows all that grass? Everyone should have one of those buggies, to protect your good buggies from all the people that way " can I bash your fancy car..." . No, but you can drive this one!
Hi Peter! Ha ha, I mow all the grass :-) Yeah, exactly, love my expensive bashers, like the Traxxas and Arrma, and also the affordable ones, like WLToys and HBX. They are all there to protect my Tamiyas from any harm, he he :-)

So far so good! I can’t wait to see you send it! Nice job Mikael!👍😊
Thanks, Jeremy! It‘a a fun little car. And much better on grass than the 1/18.

Nice, Julio. Hope you will have fun with it. Yeah, for the price one pays they are both awesome.
That goes great. So, I guess it can do it and do it very well! 👌👍
Yeah, for a 1/14th it does very well in my opinion on grass. Thanks a lot for watching, my good friend.
@@NordicRC Absolutely! Will keep an eye out for the epic jump session. 👍
Great bashing man, really love it. This buggy is a lot of fun! 😸😸
Thanks a lot! It’s a great little buggy!
ok네! :D
These are cool wee cars for the price
Yeah, definitely a lot of fun for the price. Thanks a lot for watching, bro.
👍 Great little buggy!
Yeah, cool affordable one. Thanks a lot for watching and the support, Steve.
Awesome video man . I love these little WL toys buggies 👍
Thanks a lot, Jack! You and me both!
Great video and it did awesome, love mine.
Yeah, it’s a fun little buggy. I like it. Dud way better on grass than I expected. Much better than the 1/18.
One of my favourite RC cars
For the price it certainly is awesome I think 🙂
Nice video!
Thank you!

Already used mine for more than a couple of hours and diffs seem fine. Will repair and upgrade as I use it 🙂
Same for me rear diff strip. To much power on rear diff because of direct transmission. Do you found better diffs than the original ones?

Thanks, my brother!
it is a fast and strong car, my wife ran mine into a curb and bent some parts i bent them back and still bash it 👍👊🔥🔥💯💪
Hi Kurt. Nice. Yeah, for the price I think it’s awesome.
Super high jump is so danger 😁😁😁 No way 😂
Especially when one isn’t that good at landings, like me 😂
Well its no basher.....just a straight racer..
Nice Mikael :)

It would be different if grass wasn’t that short lol awesome video
Ahh, yeah, good point, it would be very different with longer grass. But that goes for all small buggies ...
You right
Keep up the great work, what camera do you use?
Thank you! Just a GoPro and an iPhone ☺️
I could tell turning was rough but it did good
Yeah. Little awesome machine.
Nice video bro
Thanks, Aaron!
Nice run and bashing with the little beast. Did the motor get hot? Usually on grass they do tend to get hotter. Have a great week buddy 👍👍

I have this car but I like the body on yours better then mine.
Ahh, the green one? Yeah, but I think bodies are cheap so you can switch them out easily.
@@NordicRC yes and your body has the best colors.
Im still not sure about this one. I still feel the 59 and 79B are faster and more fun.
Nice video as always!
Thanks a lot, bro! Yeah, the B-versions of the 959/69/79 are a little faster. I like them both :-)
The 144001 is faster coz of it's higher gear ratio, light weight, more aerodynamic body, and big 550/540 motor
@@ianbudgetrc2574 yeah im tempted to buy it, Ive got £400 saved and im saving for the Tyhon S6. Dont want to dip into that fund for this though.
