Wow that is surprisingly easy. I’ve been going through tons of tutorials learning how to use this plane and finding something this easy to memorize in one go is so satisfying.
That expand function is great I wish we've had it in the Hornet as it's annoying in multiplayer when you want to tell your wingman to fire at a certain aircraft which is in a close formation configuration.
The F-16’s HOTAS is truly a BEautiful thing. PS. When the Hornet first came out I fully expected it’s a/a radar to have an expand function too. Such a useful feature at times.

This might be a dumb question but when using the tws when would the targets get an alert through their rwr that they're being locked? Is it as soon as they're a search target or only when tracked or bugged?
In principle, they would only get a warning when you have an STT lock on them, OR when the AMRAAM goes active. They will see you on the RWR however, but not as ‘locked’.
Hey i really need help. So when im in TWS mode and all targets are track targets, i cant turn them into system target, instead it just switches directly to bug targets, it doesnt matter if i press tsm-right next to the target, or tsm-up on the target
While im in bug mode the squares arent emtpy they are still full, but they have the circle from the bug mode and i can fire off missles that actually track and kill the target
Dont know what im doing wrong here bit after i slashed bandits in tws my radar elevation goes all red and look like it wants only to scan below the ground -2 - -54 ish
So unless I'm crazy it seems the most recent update bugged the f16c radar. When I use my mapped antenna elevation keys to go up and down (yes FCR screen is SOI) the cursor on the left of the screen indicating radar antenna elevation does go up and down but the altitude indication numbers by the cursor stay the same. Anyone else having this issue?
When this guy shows which gadgets need to be bound in the controls tab, take a look at where he has them. On his Throttle or on his stick. It will give you some idea of where you should have them. ruclips.net/video/_apBL2ctqVI/видео.html

As I said with my last comment , I have been flying the Fighting Falcon 4.0 for year and am pretty good with just about every thing on that f16. I have learned and honed my skills by watching the GRIM REAPERS videos and they are super great. I was watching the one on TWS radar expand and rippling AMRAAMS. He kept refering to TMS OR DMS or TMS RIGHT???? FOR coming on and off targets and auto or quick selection of next target closest .. Does any one know what that is.????????????
i have an issue where targests show up as hostiles and they are highlited in red, for some reason i cannot lock on... with TMS up nor Right any idea why that is?
TWS on F16C is too evil. Moving antenna automatically with a designated target so you can maneuver up to your radar's limits with that ungodly agility? F/A18C is enraged at this. You know that the only thing you can do even when encountering a lone F16 as a group - is to split. Split as hard as you can. And pray that there's only a single F16C right there.

The F/A-18 has something called RAID MODE which simply zooms in just as the Expand Function in the F-16

TMS = target management system DMS = display management system and there's 4 different switches which do different jobs e.g TMS up locks targets

You can do the same with F 18 if you turn the radar to auto mode after you bug or track targets

Outside of your radar's coverage but with AWACs'
