Thanks John! I really like it, though it still needs just a bit of tweaking to get the suspension flexing more freely. And maybe some real dampers instead of the silly stock ones... 😎👍
There was a fair amount of discussion, as I recall, about the colour choice. I hope we can all agree that Steve really did nail it, and his masterful touch when it comes to weathering makes for a completely realistic look. I particularly like the rust on the panel line which runs across the front of the cab and around the fittings on the back body and tailgate.
Another brilliant video, well done. 👍😎 Love the truck and the suspension movement is excellent, looks so good. I like the attention to detail too, like the cleared sections on the windscreen from the wipers. 👍😎
Thanks very much! This is the most detailing I've ever done to a truck really, or certainly before running it. I've done a bit of tuning to the suspension recently and I think it's moving better now - more freely and more truckishly, if that's a word, which it is now... 😁👍
@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 🤣 Sounds like a suitable word to me! 👍 Yeah it looks really good, the suspension movement was very cool, really adds to the scale looks. 👍😎
Brilliant video from every way you look at it - the truck, the customisation, the driving, the location and the filming and editing! Having experienced a real GAZ-66 off-road, the truck is pretty bumpy anyway so not much suspension tuning required to keep it realistic.
Oh wow, that must have been fun! Yeah, I'm definitely not going for 'refined and controlled' on the suspension - the opposite really, if anything... 🤣👍
Hi Steve, I gotta say, this is up there with the best of your videos, I can see you put a lot of effort into this one. The truck has come out amazing, the detailing and weathering is superb, honestly looked like the real thing in some of the shots. Hope all is well with you mate, take it easy! 😎👏👍
Thanks Mark, very good of you to say. I'm good thanks, hope you are too! I really should do some bench videos about my various projects, but (as you know) everything takes so much time! I'll get round to it soon...
@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 Tell me about it mate! I know exactly how it is, but whenever you get the chance I hope you can do more of those bench videos. Always so interesting to see you doing your thing! Cheers 🍻 mate 👍
Yeah man!!! Another great run with a super view. This truck look amazing as well. The detail you have put into it has transformed this rig into something super scale. LOVE IT!!!
The truck is looking great and I can see you did test the suspension. The plastic front bumper is a bit of a worry when going over things, not very flexible plastic.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out a sensible way of adding some metal bracing to protect the bumper. It looks good, but I was a bit disappointed it's plastic.
It's like watching "World's Most Dangerous Roads"!! Ukrainian coffee machine seller's woes and trials to earn a meagre crust. Man and Machine pushed to the very limits of scale! Lovely truck, which was always a given so I can't let you have those points. But the finish, weathering, accessories, dead animal bones and overall 'feel' of the truck is easily worth 2/10 and maybe probably 10/10 🤣 How's the paranoia now? 🕵♂
Thanks! It's a Call of Duty figure (Frank something, maybe) and I think it was 7in tall. I did cut the seat base to get him sat down low enough, though, and he lost his feet too... 😬
Great looking truck…!!! Awesome paint job 👍👍😍😍
Thanks very much! 😎👍
Great video and very nice truck

This truck came out really well. A good choice on the colour. Some great scale scenes! 👍

@@rccrawlersmid-wales645 I am a big fan of the Cross-RC vehicles myself. Do you have any plans to get anything else?
Thank you very much, an awesome truck with cool, personal details in a classic RC CM-W video! And what an epic scenery 👍😁
Thank you, as always! It really is epic scenery and I got lucky that the clouds cleared and the sun appeared - it transforms the view. 😎👍

Thanks dude! Still a few more details to add (a winch and some stuff in the bed in particular), but it's nearly there. 😎👍

Perfect video and trucks mi friend!!
Thank you very much! 😎👍
Perfect Stevfo! egg shell blue is spot on, weathering is on point, ukraine flag and plate are mint. Did I spot a bog roll? hahahahah A+
Not a bog roll, it's actually a mug of coffee to go with the coffee machine on the passenger seat... 🤓 None of this takeaway nonsense for THIS guy. 🤣

1/12 or 1/10?
I think I might have got that wrong somewhere - Cross says this is a 1/12 scale. 👍
