You don't have to chew the leaf, you can just crush it up in your fingers and rub it on the sting, works just as good. I got stung about a month ago and for the first time ever, tried the plantain leaf on it. I was kinda shocked how well it worked and how fast. It made me pretty interested in medincinal herbs. Great video! I'll have to try making some salve.
As always a very helpful and well made video with a very positive presentation. Between a lot of other regularly followed channels yours stands positively out for me and each new video is really looked forward to. Cheers, mate
We use plantain salve for mosquito bites, rashes, cuts, and minor burns. Keeping some in the kitchen is so helpful. Each time I've burned myself while cooking, the use of the salve immediately after the burn results in no blister and instant pain relief. Healing is also dramatically increased. Thanks for the video! I have a batch of plantain oil in the cupboard that's ready to be transformed into a healing ointment. Great for gifts! 👍🏻👍🏻
My yard is apparently full of the narrow-leaf variety…but I have at least 3 varieties. Thanks for the recipe…I had no idea making salves was so simple! Thanks!!!
Raised my two sons practically outside. I chewed many of plantain and applied it to their bee stings and poison ivy. Great video, I should have made a salve and carried it around with me.
I have had a big bite that was driving me crazy nothing was making it get better. I think it was a spider bite. Used this salve and in 24 hours it is almost gone. Thank you for this great info!
I don't have a dehydrater ... wonder if they can just be air dried -- what did the pioneers do? Thank you for the tutorial -- I have to watch your other plantain video
@@WineberryHill sure. I love to make natural creams myself. This one looks like basic skin protection. I will do it. I just have to find the plant. I am in Illinois, so, I don't know if i can find it here. Saludos!!
Plantain, my first love of weeds ❤ I used it for itching first and then discovered a strong tea would break up crud in my lungs; happy accident. I use broad and narrow interchangeably.
Yes, the weed that is so helpful! Lol Hosta in the spring when it is still in its curl is good

Wow, much appreciated!
I just found some broadleaf plantain in our yard. I've seen it for years at the various places we've lived & never knew the uses for it.
Nice!

Yeah, it's great stuff.
Awesome video. I've been wanting to do this with Jewelweed for Poison Ivy, do you think you could use the same method for that as well?
Yep, pretty much the same.
For a moment I thought you were making pesto
Hmmm, yeah of sorts!
I looked through your videos and I didn’t see anything about pine sap salve. Have you ever made some of that?
No, unfortunately pines are few and far between where I live.
