Good luck! I discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm currently binging through the last no money series. Its really inspiring stuff although if your goal is ever to seriously grow this channel then you need to learn to make thumbnails man haha

@@noahandguitar Of course. These would be my thoughts on things you could improve.
      1) Thumbnails - They look very amateur and aren't eye catching. Even your channel picture looks like something a user would have instead of a creator. This isn't a fun one because graphic design can be really difficult or expensive if you pay someone else but good thumbnails are the number one way to grow your channel. You want your videos to stand out before they're even scene and you want to appear professional and not like it'll just be some random dude filming stuff on a phone.
      2) Titles - Similar to thumbnails but even easier to do better. Being dramatic definitely helps. For example you got 200 views for "Kind people I met in Bulgaria" and then 1.6k views for "First country I felt I could really die" and that was because of the titles. I haven't got that far in the series yet but I'm intrigued to see the one where you felt like you could die. I just watched the German video and a good title you could have given it would be "Germans try to feed me their spiciest curry!!!". It was only a small part of the video but it works as a dramatic title.
I personally don't like the title being in brackets at the end. I would either do "No Money Trip - Unique title" or just leave off the "No Money Trip" and have it in the thumbnail as that's what people see first.
      3) Structure - I would try to have a more defined structure. Try to include a intro and outro to every video either when recording at the time or a voice over after the trip to give context.
      4) Video Length - Similar to structure, I would consider a consistent video length. I think 10-12 minutes is a good length personally. People like consistency from a channel so switching the length of the videos every time doesn't help. I think sometimes you can cut a bit more and get some of the 20 minute videos to 12 minutes.
      5) Variation - Kind of the opposite of the last two points where I talk about people liking consistency but the content can become a little repetitive at times. For example I love the singing, honestly its the highlight of so many videos when the other people really appreciate it but you don't need to include 3-4 full songs in the same video especially when youre singing the same song multiple times to different people. Either make some of the edits shorter or cut some of the songs from the final cut completely. Not because theyre not good but because you don't want too much of the same thing. Something I would suggest for variety is something like filming some scenic shots of a town or countryside and playing some professionally recorded copyright free music over it for like a minute to just showoff a country for a little bit and mix the content up.
      6) Watch and copy the best bits from other youtubers - Look at how other successful travel youtubers do their thumbnails, titles, videos etc. Pewdiepie is basically retired and isn't chasing any trends but he recently uploaded a kind of travel vlog and I thought it was really well made and edited.
Overall though, I really liked your videos and will keep watching regardless. Those are some tips for growing your channel in terms of chasing youtube algorithms and playing their games but it can also be refreshing to see just a normal dude living his best life without any massive fanbase. I hope you keep doing what you enjoy firstly. Theres more to life than chasing numbers on a screen. Most youtubers never end up making a living from it so you may as well have as much fun as possible from it. I can see that you really enjoy meeting people and singing for them. If you ever make the trip to Dublin then hit me up.

@@noahandguitarnah man, I don't expect you to completely change your content based on one comment. I hope you had a great trip across the UK and just keep enjoying what you're doing. I look forward to the videos although I still need to finish the Europe series first
