  • After extensive testing, comparisons and field use, we've landed on our top 2 binoculars for 2021.
Top Regular Binocular = Swarovski NL Pure
Unrivaled clarity, design, build quality and ergonomics. The new Swarovski NL Pure's set a very high benchmark and are a true joy to look through.
    Top Range-finding Binocular = Lecia Geovid 3200.COM
These things are a technical masterpiece. Featuring top tier glass paired with a benchmark setting rangefinder and a solid ballistics computer. These should be near the top of every competition shooter or hunter's gear list.

Great review! Thanks! One option you can run on the Leica's without the tripod stud is the Really Right Stuff Cinch Bino adapter so you can use them on ARCA/RRS Dovetail tripod mount. You could use the adapter across all binos which is what i'll probably go with in the near future.

Who doen't like the glare of the NL Pure the Swarovski isn't for them. I'd prefer the Leica Noctivid 8x42 that is cheaper (at least in Switzerland) and sharper in the center. Sure its FOV is narrower and the edge isn't as sharp but you don't have to pay extra for a rather cheap piece for stabilizing your binos on your forefront! 😛Optica Excotica has shown how 3D and golden colored the Noctivid shines (more impressive than the glare you see on the NL Pure!) 😍
My second pick would be the Zeiss Victory HT 8x54! Even for non-hunters this is excellent for birding (as a German birder recommended). 😇
As much as I like Leica as an optical company with great products Zeiss Victory RF 8x54 is probably the better rangefinder pair of binoculars. Even for left handers you can switch the controls very simply while the Leica Geovid is fixed on the right hand side! 🤔

Great review, just to clarify, the swaro is much better in glass clarity, contrast and definition than the leicas ? Or just a bit ? Regards

I think you should give Maven B series a try. Yes, I have used Zeiss, Swaro, Nikon, etc. but Maven really surprises me.

The depth of field on the NL 12s is incredible. Compared them to our Leica Trinovids and focused both on a hill over a mile away. Could see every blade of grass 200 yards away with the NLs while that was just a blurry green area with the Trinovids. Both on a tripod which is why we dont own the 3400 and instead run the Sig range binos, tripod studs accross family of four binos just makes it easy when we hunt. The sig glass is surprisingly good, not NL good but better than a set of Trinovids but with less contrast. If the only made a NL rangefinder…

What about the rolling ball effect due to flattening in this NL pure?
