When he mentioned how much PP the magic shiny fire dinosaur had I lol'd. Because I realised his strategy was basically the same as it is in every other game, he was gonna bash his head against a wall without learning to play properly and never altering his strategy until he ground down the game and got his way.

Nemoma is pretty easy at this gym encounter, considering she has a very readable line up just shows he doesn't know match-up's. If he threw out Quequaval out instead of Sinestea, the signature move would allow them to outspeed her starter

Isn't Nemona like the rival character for this game? If so then yes Phil, you should absolutely always have a water type on you in case she shows up.
Edit: Just looked it up and apparently she even picks a starter that's weak to yours. Which means Phil picked the water starter and boxed it. Smh

Even WITHOUT the Starter, I literally found a Lv.11 Eevee and Water Stone just walking around one day and evo'ed to Vaporeon (my favourite form). Vaporeon isn't a powerhouse but Acid Armour x3 and Aqua Ring + Leftovers helped carry most fights EVEN E4 and beyond. Mans literally has nothing fire-retardant and cucks himself then complains about a fight being difficult when he ALLOWS the CPU to raise their attack to one-shot levels. This man is married and has been doing this for years.
What's sad is that he had the win. I haven't played this pokemon game but I think I have a better grasp on the mechanics than he does! He Terrastalized (or whatever) on a BUG move, which didn't boost the power of sucker punch, a dark-type attack. Had he used the ability correctly, he could have won.
And when they terastalozed they become the element of the teralistaion so the opponent was a pure fire type now a good water or such would have torn it apart..

I think DSP needs to look up the definition of "profusely". He's never apologized profusely for anything. He definitely begs profusely however.
Phil had a Pokemon that could've handled and neutralized Nemona's Skeledirge the entire time: Pupitar. Rock/Dark, and his Pupitar had both a Rock and a Ground type move (both Rock and Ground are super effective on Fire, and resistant to Fire type attacks). Hell, he tried using the Rock-type move, only for it to miss, and the other move, Bulldoze, REDUCES THE TARGET'S SPEED WHEN IT HITS. Terastellizing just locks the Tera'd Pokemon's type to its Tera type and makes its matching moves more effective. PHIL COULD'VE ENDED THE FIGHT EARLY BY USING BULLDOZE.
Just goes to show that Phil doesn't pay attention to type match-ups or Tera types and bonuses as mechanics. But it's the game's fault for an otherwise easy fight. Wait until Phil fights Nemona in the championship fight, she doesn't hold back like she does here.
Uses my favorite pokemon evo line and makes it suffer from his clown brain... i wish there was a forefit a pokemon if you lose rule so I could reck his shit and beat him with it

Dude....When you TERASTALIZE a Pokemon, it's Typing changes to the TERA TYPE. The thing they taught him day one in the Academy. Then to use a move that's notoriously weak (hits once for every non-KO Pokemon in the party) and complain he's doing nothing, is astounding. Has six Pokemon and NO team members or moves strong against Fire types.
Yknow Phil's dumb when he thinks only water type is needed to beat fire. That Pupitar could have just used Earthquake and he would have won it easy.
Hell pupitar's crunch would have worked too.. he had the mon to win with but is a moron and doesn't know or try to remember type match ups

Fun fact. Skeledirge has a base 65 speed. Phil's Pokemon are either not fully evolved, were paralysed or weak to fire. His only good pokemon was Houndstone, which was weakened, or Gardevoir, which wasn't strong enough to one hit. While wanting to use a differant team is fine, it's always good strategy to keep a pokemon that counters Fire, Water and Grass types just as a rule of thumb due to them being common and guaranteed to be something your rival has. tldr: it's not the games fault that Phil can't strategise properly.

I lost a couple battles in this game, but that's because I showed up to a titan or gym well before I should have been there with a team under leveled by a huge margin. Dave however has comparable levels and type advantages even with his shelved starter and a chat holding his hand (though none of those messages were accompanied with money, so he ignored them).

11:40-11:55 Is he taking a shot at ChrisG for not using his competition name on his game account? Does he not realize pro's have to do that in order to get matches, since people who know them will see the name and duck the match. This is something i noticed with Cloud_805 in DBFZ. He has to change his name once a month to get matches otherwise people duck him when they realize who they are up against.
His greed knows no bounds. When he was making bank doing those give aways he still sold the game just to get that extra cash, anything for this.

6:30 Ok , "years ago" is important, it provides context and just shows how lies by omission work. In that pokemon stream he made it seeem like he gave the box away as soon was done with the game, except that wasn't the case. He didn't buy the game with the intention of giving it away _as soon as he was done with it_ : he bought it, traded the game disk in, kept for box for YEARS because that's how much into toys and collectables he used to be back then, then for some reason (moving out of the condo?) he started getting rid of all the junk, including that box.
