In my opinion (300+ hrs) the best way to make money from AI loot is taking optics, the best are the micro with the HS mount, take the optic and mount and you"ve got $170 for a 1x1 item. Take the biggest backpack you have and fill every slot possible, I was making 2-3k per run. The best place to find them is usually the mid tier places like YBL, HP, BL, BP, Sawmill, PLAF. Occasionally you can grab a specter or ACOG (again, take the mount and it goes from 1x2 to 1x1).

Leave the optic on the weapon, it takes up no additional space if left on the weapon leaving you extra room for more loot.

can't you do the same thing with the AR by taking the grip and the mag off?

Because the M4/CQ have an upper and lower receiver it'll still take up an extra row in your storage.

@@Hudszgaming I think it is still better to take the Aimpoint/mount optics than an upper. The per slot value would have to be around $140 to beat out the optic. Maybe taking off the stock would help, as they are generally 2 horizontal slots.
