- Guitarist Bobby Broom cut his teeth performing with the likes of Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Art Blakey, and Dr. John and has amassed a substantial body of work as a leader over the years. Broom formed his latest group, Organi-Sation, in 2014 at the request of Steely Dan, who then took the band on as the opening act for their “Jam a Lot Ever After” North American tour of 52 cities.
In this special performance, the trio plays music from their first CD release Soul Fingers. Featuring Hammond organist Ben Patterson and drummer Kobie Watkins.

Do I see Ben Paterson at the Hammond?
Super jazz !!!!
Think of him as the sonny rollins of guitarists - so free but so melodic!

Man I love Organ trios. Bobby reminds me of that endless summer vibe you got during summer vacation as a kid. Such a nice vibe...
With everything Bobby does with playing lead, which is spectacular in and of itself, he has a way with those chords he plays like it's not even rhythm anymore. It's like he's playing a complete song just with using chords alone. How do you even think that fast, let alone actually do it with that kind of smoothness. It's just not possible to describe.
Voiceleading! The top note of a chord becomes it's own melody. That's what I'm hearing anyways. He just gives it a lot of care, like it deserves. A good guitarist's gotta comp first, solo next! What's music without good time?
What a drummer ! What a Super Class Trio ! ha Don't mention that Bobby's signature : amazingly musical.
I love this. To see Bobby Broom live is on my (very short) bucket list
Yeah Bobby, I hear ya!!
The guy's face at 35:40 "How dare you. You have destroyed my dreams of guitar greatness..." Hahaha! Groovin' set!
Amazing !
Superb!!!!
So good. Does a lot with so few drums;)
I wish the guitar was a little louder in the mix but it's a phenomenal trio!
Adjust your equalizer a bit. This helps.
Not every recording is perfect. An equalizer can in most cases improve this.
Use it in the range 1 to 5 Khz .
That funky Harper Valley PTA is very creative!
My dude right there wow
Loved that tune
My guitar hero!!
Such a good set!
Eeeee Bobby!)
Outstanding! All interesting musicians. Love his drummer, the drummer sets the volume for the band and drummers easily get carried away, but this gentleman is chill thru and thru, thank you for this!
Yes he was on 🔥
Great drummer!
That is Kobie Watkins. A real showman.
Yeh I recognise his playing , I saw him at the Barbican in London , England in 2012 , impressive , great music !
