It’s a part of our living and job. Monetizing is a part of the job. I highly recommend it for anyone that has a RUclips channel. Go for it! Think of Monetizing similar to T.V. commercials.
The fact that you're so open with details and actually showing the process makes you stand out. You also don't make a 20 minute video into a 40 minute video. To the point. 👍
@@AbisadeAdedayo hi, I stopped bc I’m actually pretty camera shy so I was having a hard time finding the motivation to record new content. The editing process was also pretty time consuming so now I focus more on Tik Tok bc it’s shorter content and less editing
I started my channel 3 months ago and I checked my analytics yesterday and I hit a RUclips goal and my recommend videos are above 30% now! So now RUclips is showing my videos more and more and I'm popping up in suggested videos which is super awesome because that was one of my top Goal as a New Creator in my Niche. Your video is very transparent and AMAZING! Congrats! I'm working on my 6 month goal trying to meet the requirements and I'm actually enjoying it, lol!
THAT. INTRO! LITERALLY my mood when I first got monetized, saw my CPM and earnings for the first two weeks and was like.... watchu mean I can't make that much without a million views?

I dislike people who complain about ads. They complain about ads and also sponsored vids, like do you think youtubers' time is free? Videos like yours are so helpful, it would be a shame if you made nothing.
it was free back in the day when no one was getting payed and people were still regularly posting, because they were doing it for fun/as a hobby, now it has become a job.
@@anckkk yes of course, that's back in the day. It's only right that now google and everyone else is making money from youtube that the individuals who spend time making videos get paid as well. I spend my hours at a job I love and enjoy dearly and I get paid for that. These people spend their time sharing their knowledge and sometimes expertise to help and entertain millions. In my book, they deserve everything they get by way of rewards. Before youtube, many people suffered to improve and learn new skills. Today, if you want to learn something, hop onto youtube and you find several videos to help you. It blows my mind how people can be so awful expecting these people to trade their time and knowledge for free.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 7 months ago about self development. Now I have 754 subs and > 200 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I agree with you that people are desensitized to whether a video has ads or not. I was curious if I would have comments when I turned on ads but no one even noticed. 😆 (This was a great vid Erin! Love seeing your actual stats especially. #goals)

I don’t know if that’s accurate. It takes 4,000 hours of watch hours to get eligible. That can be extremely difficult to achieve in a month. 4,000 HOURS
