- Welcome to the 2nd & final episode of Varanasi Ghats!
I travelled to Varanasi/Banaras/Kashi, on the 15th of January 2020, to dive deep into the history, culture and mythological beliefs of my country - India.
I knew I was in for a treat, an energy I must have never experienced before, and the truths and rituals that blew my mind.
Varanasi is a magic land, as I’d like to call it.
It made me see life in the most magical and unique way. It’s something only one can experience.
You must visit Banaras. and once you do, she keeps calling you back, again and again…
IN THIS EPISODE,
I take you to manikarnika ghat, where they burn at least 300 dead bodies every single day, boat rides, seagulls, travellers from around the world, THE BASURI, VARANASI chaat, the sweets, lassi, and everything else.

I saw the Varanasi ghat while I was travelling on Train from Guwahati to Gujrat... It was on morning and the beautiful sunlight falling on this ghat was so amazing i cant explain with words

Universe (Brahmand) consists of 4 things
1. Param atma (Energy)
2. Param tatva (Matter)
3. Maha kal (Time )
4. Kal (Black space)
(Today modern Science says
Space and Time are not different they are different attribute of 1 thing and Hindus use 1 word "Kal")
1. Param Atma
2. Param tatva
Both are Param (Supreme)
Hence equal
Atma = Tatva
Energy = Matter
E = M
E = MC^2 (After Solar formation)
Both can not be created nor destroyed only translated ( or incarnated) into another form (or body )
Both are Trinity
*Energy* has trinity aspect
1. Creation +ve
2. Preservaton =
3. Destruction -ve
*Matter* has trinity aspect
1. Proton +ve
2. Neutron =
3. Electron -ve
Hindus personified it as
Brahma +ve
Vishnu =
Shiva -ve
Since Energy and matter are two
2 types of worship
1. Meditation (Yog-atma se param atma )
2. Idol worshipping (Param tatva)
Why idol worshipping?
Hindus do the same rituals on the purchase of car bike house TV AC etc which we do before idols
Bcoz
A car can be moulded into an Idol of Natraja
But no change in the composition of the proton neutron electron
*Functions of Param tatva*
1. Proton and neutron are always connected form Nucleous
Brahma and Vishnu are also always connected through navel cord (Nabhi)
Nucleous Hindi name is also "Nabhi"
2. Electrons always revolve in its ring
Depicted as
Shiva's dance in the ring of fire
*Functions of Param Atma*
2. *Preservation*
Vishnu the personification of preservative aspect of the Universe energy
Or
Simply
Vishnu the preserver

Now in last 150 years
Science said the same how life evolved and preservered on Earth
So
Param atma + Param tatva + Maha kal + Kal = Universe (Brahm or Brahmand)
The highest manifestion of Brahm is *Para Brahm*
Multi Universe
1. *Creation*
Universe born out of nothingness(0) and will merge back to nothingness(0)
Nothingness is represented by 0 given by AryaBhat
0 is an ellipsoide shaped Shivling which banged and infinity came into being
1,0000000000000000......
And
The Universe
3. *Destruction*
Since Universe born out of nothingness(0) and will merge back to nothingness(0)
Shivling is the source of creation as well as destruction
Shivling (0)has 2 functions
So
2 types of worship
1. Creation (0) -Inner consiousness 2. Destruction (0) - surrounded by a ring
1. Creation (0)
Pouring water on Shivling and placing shivling near water bodies symbol of cooling down it's energies so that it wont bang
2.Destruction (0)
Bhasm Arti - raining down of human ashes on shivling shows destruction of human
Now Science says there is a destructible energy Black hole and same way it destroys planets into dust
How Shivling came?
Shivling is Syambhu (self created) out of the Consiousness
It's like
We sleep and see dreams when we lost in Consiousness
Same Consiousness is the reason of the creation of the Universe
So
We say we live in the consiciousness of MahaVishnu= SadaShiva who are in deep trans with snake shows highest realm of consiousness

In Vedas
It's written
Worship both
1. Sambhuti (Matter)
2. Asambhuti (Energy)
Otherwise you will go into darkness
While we only worship Param tatva (Matter) not Param atma (Energy)
So
Do Meditation for 1 hour every day
All sages did meditation, Ravan did meditation, bhudda did Meditation to empower themselves

The beauty of Varanasi is in the chaos of this city, you feel so calm inspite of so much happening around. People in Varanasi have their own pace in life. It's a gorgeous place with a very interesting magnetic feel to it. You just can't take out the essence of Varanasi from yourself once you have been there.
It’s just amazing how we see literally zero plastic around...usually tourists destinations aren’t like that! Very nice to see them use clay cutlery!

I am seeing this in quarantine , i havent been out properly for like 40 days . Seeing this vlog is very interesting to me because i have visited varanasi with friends when i was in college ,and while seeing this i felt my footsteps to varanasi , the station ,taking the auto ,the night spend , the Bhu ,food , boat ride , aarti , museums, ghats , so places i cant remember , that place has a vibe going specially the ghats .

There was this tv series on starplus called 'yatra' back in the 2000s. It was an amazing program at a time when travelling was only for the rich and elite. But it explored and brought to life all that a place had to offer. Your banaras series is reminiscent of that. I enjoyed it a lot. I have said it before and i will say it again you always capture the essence of a place perfectly.
