    Another great video.I love the 'raw content' where you are not afraid to show your mistakes(ie. wrong breaker).Thumbs up to that.

    Good stuff Steven thanks for sharing - tilt the gopro up a little on the installs- the money shots are being missed.

    Little tight in there! Somehow, I don't think there is the required 30" of clearance in front of the panel. Nothing like working on a hot panel in a cramped space.
    I like how in your videos you are showing us what you do, not just telling us. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who shows up with the wrong part.

      It's actually 36" minimum

      @@JohnQPublic345 I was referring to the 30" wide clearance required by NEC 110.26, but that area also lacked the 36" deep clearance you alluded to

    I am curious Steven ,I never dealt with bolt in breakers on a 3 phase panel. If the breaker bolts to the buss which is hot ! why does it not arch or shot sparks ? Only thing I can figure is as long as the breaker is off , you are protected from the hot Buss.

    • @unitedtradesmanacademy1894
      @unitedtradesmanacademy1894  Год назад

      Because its not going to ground or touching another leg of the phase. An it helps im using insulated tools

      When the new disconnected and open breaker makes contact with the bus there are no sparks because the breaker is isolated. So the breaker becomes energized with voltage but theres no current. No current, no sparks.

    Man I just want to ask a question I just got my journeyman license passed my test 12/21/22 and I still haven't seen a raise yet does it take a little time or am I trippen they told me that they are reviewing my raise whatever that means but I feel like it should have kicked in already I just wanted to get another electricians perspective on it cause my gut feeling is telling me that this company is stalling and maybe I should start looking else where cause a license is a license and that to me is an automatic raise

      I just gotten into the trade almost 6 month ago. And here in Texas there is a school called IEC(NOT SURE IF THERE IS ONE IN YOUR LOCATION). If you contact the school and you tell them that you want to be an electrician. They will help you get on with a contractor. You just gotta be willing to pay $50 for a drug test and keep in contact with them once a week.

    In. Before all of the "great" electricians who never work in the field complain about not wearing the proper equipment while working something hot.
    I've done this same process atleast 500 times over 22 years without wearing the equipment either.
