- In this Commercial Electrician Day In the Life video, I'll be installing a dimmer switch. This is a typical day in the life of a commercial electrician, so you can get a glimpse into the world of commercial electric work.
Through this video, you'll learn everything you need to know about commercial electric work, from installing light switches to working on electrical wiring. If you're interested in a career in commercial electric work, then this video is for you!
I love the fact that you want to be a brainiac of the MEP family of construction trades(electrical, plumbing,HVAC) you are exactly where I want to be, an electrical and HVAC contractor, and be very proficient at both. Keep the vids coming!
You might as well tie that neutral in with the neutrals up in that 4square. In case somebody needs it in the future for adding a recept or something. Save the next guy from having to go up there. Nice work man👍
Thank you for sharing. Enjoy watching a true professional at work.
That four square box is a little crowded, since there's plenty of room up there it might be a good idea to put on an extender ring
I do not do commercial. The "fingers" were interesting. I always learn something.
That was a great video! I showed it to my students and they really enjoyed watching you install that switch!
Where and what class?
@@Sergesauce thank you
Keep them coming learning a lot just getting started
I have really enjoyed your content for a while now. Thanks for sharing
What’s up my man!?
Been out a min. Good to see you
Good to hear from you Richard
Nice job. I didn’t see you ground the metal box, though. Did I miss something?
Great video but I’m curious how long did this take you? RUclips is great at making everything look quick and easy.
I was surprised to see the fan working since you wired your switch backwards. I thought it might go on when you turned the switch off because your hot wire was not on the top terminal of the switch
Great video. Question, why the metal switch box and not the "old work" box? Just curious, I'm new.
You trun the fingers wrong. The longer side should be down and the shorter side up .to prevent it from falling out.
Is that box over stuffed with to many wires
Thats a rookie install
Should only have a two gang switch box
Remove existing single gang box add new switch leg to new two gang box
Now your in the big leagues
Your in in a hurry, take your time.
Stop the pre twisting. Let the wire nut do the job
Nice job ... Thx for posting
U installedthe holdits upside down if they slip down the box
Will fall out the wall
