And your moss is wonderful- I live in hot Savannah GA and we don’t get moss like that here. All different sizes. Most are 15-20 pounds. The pottery ones we will start to show soon weigh much less. These cement pots stay out and the trees are super happy in cement. I will do a video soon on how to make them. Cheap and not too hard to do at home. Thanks for comments.

Moss is more showing and not for developing and growing. If you’re focused on growth take the moss out and you’d be astounded at the differences. And do not bonsai pot your plants until they are ready to show. Yamadori does best in a nursery pot with organic soils during its growing stages, when it’s ready to show, which can be years… then it’s time for akadama, Pumice MOSS if you want it and well draining rock pretty much to focus more on fertilizer, Biggest aspect of bonsai that completely gets skipped out on is understanding the difference between refinement and development in my opinion. And I love Peter as well but that’s one thing he never really captivates or teaches that’s extremely important in bonsai. Of course take what I say with a grain of salt don’t change anything just learn and apply to your future projects!
