      Great idea (collab). I am not well to do and rather than used Epiphone restoration upgrade was thinking this kit might be the way to go so that I can have more to spend on a better amp. Not sure which is best: Better guitar > lesser amp or, lesser Amp < better Guitar.

    The results of this finish job were superb!! Absolutely beautiful.
    It was this series of videos, Darrell, and Brads that got me into building kit guitars. Building them, brought my confidence level up, in regard to doing setups, and simple repairs. This then led to now several years later, doing setups, and simple repairs for people, sort of as a retirement hobby. I don't charge much, because I'm not doing it as a job to make money. I just do it to keep busy. Plus it keeps my skills up, and its something I found out that I actually enjoy doing! 🎸🎸 😎

    Brilliantly done Brad love the step by step been in the auto painting business 40 years and your right the first guitar I done was my own kit build and i wet sanded and it cracked every couldn't figure it out first until I resanded and seen the water just like sunlight draws water out of metal if the vehicle not been in a spray booth

      @Bloosee 6 лет назад

      I would think they could forego the sealer on the whole body, that's the worst part for me, sanding all that sealer off to get down to bare wood. I've purchased other bodies that were from China with no sealer.

    Wow Brad, great job on the Burst and the finish looks amazing. If I wasn’t currently working on my Explorer Guitar I’d snap up one of those Spalted Maple tops,
    Thank you for putting out these videos Brad, I really enjoy watching them but also I’ve used some of your hints and tips when using rattle cans. One extra little tip that I use is to cut the top inch off the index finger of the rubber glove so that you don’t get any drips which can build up on it from pressing down on the nozzle, sounds silly but it works.
    Looking forward to the next video.

    • @BradAngove

      Thank you. I’m glad you’ve found the videos helpful. How’s the explorer going?

    • @SanAndFe
      @SanAndFe 6 лет назад

      Brad Angove Hi Brad, thanks for the like and reply.
      I’ve just flattened the clear coat on the Explorer and now deciding if I want to put more clear on to give it a deeper finish or polish it up as is. I’ve got an extra can so I might as well use it and get a deeper and richer finish.
      Thanks again for your videos Brad, I used your idea for a spraying station, except I use a square baton attached to the guitar body so that when I tilt the guitar to spray the edges it locks in place as the baton catches inside the tube with the weight of the guitar body to hold it steady freeing up your other hand.
      Looking forward to your next video.
