I am Speechless! Unbelievable job Brad!
Thanks Darrell. I’m really glad to hear that you’re happy with it.
Any idea of when the next part is coming out? Huge fan of both of you so I'm really excited.
My 2 favorite guitar guys (sort of) in one video. Awesome stuff
Great idea (collab). I am not well to do and rather than used Epiphone restoration upgrade was thinking this kit might be the way to go so that I can have more to spend on a better amp. Not sure which is best: Better guitar > lesser amp or, lesser Amp < better Guitar.
Didnt realize you where a fellow canuck !! nice !! :)
It's great to see you two collaborate. 2 videos today to entertain me. 😀
The results of this finish job were superb!! Absolutely beautiful.
It was this series of videos, Darrell, and Brads that got me into building kit guitars. Building them, brought my confidence level up, in regard to doing setups, and simple repairs. This then led to now several years later, doing setups, and simple repairs for people, sort of as a retirement hobby. I don't charge much, because I'm not doing it as a job to make money. I just do it to keep busy. Plus it keeps my skills up, and its something I found out that I actually enjoy doing! 🎸🎸 😎
Love Darrell's channel! He has some really nice guitars and great advice/tutorials. Really nice paint job! A lot of talent in Canada :)
Brad well done in all ways! Beautiful work, fast and smart presentation, great audio quality and dialogue.
You two Canadians have a quite the collaboration going on here!
Thanks for this very generous sharing of knowledge.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Two of my favourite RUclipsrs. That guitar turned out great. Hi from Southern Alberta.
It's cathartic watching processes by someone with so much skill make things looks so easy. Thanks Brad!

Awesome work, you are very talented! I personally think the finished product came out really really good.

Damn! That is definitely one of the best finishes you have done. Absolutely gorgeous, great job!
Thanks John. I’m glad you like it.
That looks absolutely amazing!!!!
Good job preserving the signature Brad. Nice attention to detail. That burst was gorgeous. Looking forward to your unveiling Friday.
Thank you!
this is beautiful! plus you have a good preference and amazing paint job! love it! you and darrel is team haha
Because of Brad and Big D I gained the confidence and know how to refinish my 80's squire.
I did a black cherry burst and it came out amazing!
Thank you Sir.
That’s awesome. Glad to hear it Ryan.
What a great day. Discovering 2 new guitar chanells worthy of binge watching. Great finish too Brad. Your an artist indeed. Rock on Bro.
Thanks man. Big day haha.
Well, looks like Darrell has provided me with another guitar channel to binge watch as I prepare for my own first guitar build. Nice video, you've earned a sub.
Thanks Mark. Welcome aboard haha.
That finish is magnificent. Just got mine last week & it came without any sealer. Awesome tip on the foam earplugs.
Funny... I had no idea who Darrell was until I hit the link. Been subbed to his channel for a while. Quality reviews.
Jason Smith Thanks man!
That looks so nice. Great job.
What to say. Awesome Paint Job man! Waiting to see how's gonna turn out :) It's gonna be awesome.
Cool build man I hope Darrell likes it, you both have awesome channels
Thanks
Absolutely phenomenal, I've been watching your videos you do one hell of a awesome job
Thank you sir. Much appreciated.
What a BEAUTIFUL paint job!!! WOW!!!!! Loved this video, very informative, but I would still be afraid to try it myself! I would most likely sand off the laminate while sanding off my paint mistakes!!! I can tell you have been doing this for a long time!!! Beautiful!!
Thanks Tim. I’m glad to hear that you like the finish.
That really does look beautiful, very fine work!
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
Thanks for assisting Darrell in this wonderful project.
Thanks. I enjoyed doing it.
Found your channel from the customer reviews on Solo Guitars. A lot of reviewers said they learned how to properly finish a guitar from your channel so here I am! And then I see it’s a crossover project with Darrel Braun, how cool! Great work! I’m going to order the Solo LP p90 kit for me and my son to make a “Gibson White Falcon.”
Nice! I hope your build goes well.
The only thing i would have liked to see you do different is keep the binding visible. But hey, that’s just my opinion, i guess darrell likes the look without it. BTW I’ve been watching both of you for a while now so this is cool to see
Totally agree! The binding would make this look better than it already is. but as u said, personal preference haha!
I know. I was anticipating watching him clean up the binding afterwards. I'd love to see that.
He can scrape the binding back and re shoot the clear if he ever changes his mind it's not a huge deal.
I thought the same thing. I would prefer to see the binding too.
Gabe Mendoza same here. lol
I saw the black paint and immediately went to the comments.
Brilliantly done Brad love the step by step been in the auto painting business 40 years and your right the first guitar I done was my own kit build and i wet sanded and it cracked every couldn't figure it out first until I resanded and seen the water just like sunlight draws water out of metal if the vehicle not been in a spray booth
Sorry to hear your first finish cracked. If you need to wet sand, use something like naphtha to help avoid that problem.
Just got back from DB’s channel...dood, your work on that kit guitar is un-friggin-believable! I’m so impressed with your talent!
Thank you!
one of the best videos i've seen on this kind of stuff, subscribed!
Thanks Dude.
Awesome man...........this is the finish I suggested when you bought yours and asked what you should do for a finish. Smokin' job. I already subscribe to Darrells channel so I can't wait to see what he has in store.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching.

Darrel is one of my favorite YT folks and i watch all his vids even if i don't always comment, (need to get better at that) I have subscribed here now, you do great work! and this was a quality video! No way I would spray my own ...

Pretty cool, great work! From all sorts of DIY stuff, painting (and not looking like a POS) is one of the hardest skills to nail, you're a very skilled maker for sure!
Thank you sir.
Wow, this really turned out fantastic!
Thanks Jason.
Good idea for two you tubers to get together. ;) Guitar looks great. Good video as always.

Thank you
How did I miss this... Awesome job dude. hanks for the intro to Darrell. Going to sub him now. Love these vids.
Thank you. I published it at an unusual time, maybe that’s how haha.
Brad you did a really superb job on Darrell Braun's guitar. Its beautiful. Im working on one exactly it with just tru oil. Paper thin lumpy veneer top. I'm afraid to sand it smooth. Almost done just a another coat. Love the spalted maple
Stick to high grits to lower your risks when sanding.
Beautiful finish. Nice job Brad.
Thank you
This finish is absolutely stunning!!
Thanks Stuart.
It's a beauty Brad.I sub both you guys channels I'm sure Darrell will jam on it !
I’m sure he will.
You do beautiful work. Great video
Thank you

Thanks Henry.
Man, this is perfection.
That color turned out beautiful!👍😎🎸🎶
Glad you like it.
Brad Angove yep! I think you hit a home run with this one! It's my favorite type of burst and you nailed it! I can't wait to see it finished!☺
Awesome job, great collaboration
Thanks Jon
Brad that is a stunning shine on that! I'm with you on Darrel's color choice. Only thing I would have done differently is let the binding show. But it's his guitar.... Awesome job!
Thanks Wallace. We discussed the binding together, and I believe it was my suggestion that the overall look would be more cohesive without it.
Amazing job. Congratulations!
Thank you.
truly gorgeous finish job mate.
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
simply a piece of Art!
Great job Brad, Amazing Work!!! I like very much how you explain the all stuff. 5 Stars!!! ;-)
Thank you Paulo.
This is the next guitar kit I want to do. I like to carve them as well. Awesome job btw
Good choice Kevin.
Wow! You the MAN!
Nice work and great video - thanks.
Thank you.
Nicely done. You make it look easy
Thank you. It takes a bit of practice to get those bursts, but anyone can learn.
Holy cow that looks awesome.
You have an amazing job! 👍
Thanks Maria.
MASTERFUL work! Wow!
Thank you sir.
Very Impressive work !!!
I'm 3 years late but you have my sub. Thanks to Darrel Braun I'll be building one of these soon
Thank you and welcome aboard.
Dayum that's beautiful !
Wow, great work. Looks stunning. Well done.... subscribed.
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
That is a STUNNINGLY beautiful guitar, man! I doubt I could fault the job if I studied it for a week with a microscope. 👏🏼
I'm glad Solo took your suggestion, I sanded thru my veneer in a couple spots, both on the top and headstock.
Damn. I know the sealer helps during shipping, but I’m glad they were able to forgo in on the veneer on the newer kits.
I would think they could forego the sealer on the whole body, that's the worst part for me, sanding all that sealer off to get down to bare wood. I've purchased other bodies that were from China with no sealer.
I’m sure they could, but I don’t know if it would result in some product loss. Once they see how this next batch goes I’m sure they’ll consider it.
nice colab jobs dude! great job!
Thank you.
Awesome finish Work!
Thank you
Man. That's going to be stellar.
I can’t wait to see what he does with it.
That's one gorgeous finish!
I’m glad you like it.
Wow Brad, great job on the Burst and the finish looks amazing. If I wasn’t currently working on my Explorer Guitar I’d snap up one of those Spalted Maple tops,
Thank you for putting out these videos Brad, I really enjoy watching them but also I’ve used some of your hints and tips when using rattle cans. One extra little tip that I use is to cut the top inch off the index finger of the rubber glove so that you don’t get any drips which can build up on it from pressing down on the nozzle, sounds silly but it works.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you. I’m glad you’ve found the videos helpful. How’s the explorer going?
Brad Angove Hi Brad, thanks for the like and reply.
I’ve just flattened the clear coat on the Explorer and now deciding if I want to put more clear on to give it a deeper finish or polish it up as is. I’ve got an extra can so I might as well use it and get a deeper and richer finish.
Thanks again for your videos Brad, I used your idea for a spraying station, except I use a square baton attached to the guitar body so that when I tilt the guitar to spray the edges it locks in place as the baton catches inside the tube with the weight of the guitar body to hold it steady freeing up your other hand.
Looking forward to your next video.
Darrell sent me, I think I'll like this channel too!
Came out awesome
This video is proof that collaborations work. You just got 1 more subscriber.
Thanks Nick. I’m grateful that Darrell got me involved.
Great vidz! And work man!🙏
Thank you!
Brad, you are a master. Incredible. Love guitars. Love wood working. Great combo. I'd screw this up royally if I tried it. LOL You make it look easy tho. What a gift you have. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you Mark. I’m sure with a bit of practice you would be able to do it no problem.
More dry sanding!
Dude - that came out awesome. And great to see someone not afraid to mix products to get a result.
Thanks Don.
great job i love darrell ya did a great job...thumbs up
Yep...AWESOME work with this body!!!!!!!
Awesome job! I wish I found your channel before my first finishing job a couple months ago lol
