The whole point of a cover is not to replicate the original but to rather bring your own style and flair to create something different yet familiar. Mo did a great job here on a tough song.

A lot of people saying it is not great and that her vocal range is low. So what? Her voice is quite different and unique compared to many others I've heard. I feel that's what matters. If we had what everyone claims to want, power house singers with crazy vocal ranges, I feel music would be limited. I think the unique voices that can make good music are the ones who deserve recognition. I think her version of this song was nice.

I think with how iconic the original song is it’s hard to be open minded with cover versions of it. Same goes with an artist sampling a song from others like MJ,Beyoncé etc. we’re just too obsessed with the OG version

I honestly, and surprisingly, would have preferred if she said nigga. “Stay woke 'cuz they're creepin' just sounds odd." I wad even put of just a tad but when Gambino performed Redbone on Jimmy Fallon and replaced nigga with neighbor. “Niggas", of all words, makes the song richer.

Really impressed. I was skeptical at first but MØ's raw, almost raspy voice just fit beautifully over this track.
