- Otsego Lake State Park was one of Michigan's first state parks. Despite being a small park, it's on a huge lake. In our video overview, we share information on the park, the lake and the campground.

we love the lake. Can't wait for July up there!
It's a popular place to go. Enjoy your trip there in July! Thanks for watching.
Glad you showed the “pet beach area.” My wife is always looking for parks with those, but this one doesn’t make the cut. Your reaction is probably what mine would have been. Lol
Yeah, it wasn't very impressive. However, when we were there the water level was really high so that may have impacted how much beach actually existed. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Darn you guys, you keep adding to my bucket list. Thanks!
Hahaha. It it's any consolation, we keep adding to our list of places to return to, as well. But glad you're finding new places!
The pet beach, and the rest of the shoreline has had high water for many years. When we used the park in my childhood (mid 80's) the pet beach was a true beach. Not the park's jurisdiction, but I understand the water management out the Sable River is a complicated issue?
True, the high water line has affected a lot of beaches and state parks in Michigan for many years. Interesting to know that it used to be a much better beach for pets. We suspected as much! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Its not the size of the park its how you use it! 😊😜❤
Otsego Lake is 1,972 acres, not 1200.
You're right, good catch. Not sure where I got the 1,200 figure. Thanks for watching and for providing the corrected info! -Ari
