The renewal of the pavement a few years ago has been a massive improvement. I still remember the old situation where you could close the eyes and notice the border crossing by the big hump and the noisiest tarmac I've ever experienced. Now it's just smooth sailing.
The hump is still there though, you can see it in the video. What's more is that these improvements were all about optics, or "to get rid of the meme". Large parts of Flanders still suck, most notably once you pass Antwerp. Sure, it doesn't reach Wallonia levels of horror, but then again, it never really did.
Ik heb de video nog niet afgekeken. Maar ik dacht dat deze snelweg ook langs de 2 centerparcs parken van België kwam. Vossemeren (Lommel) en Erperheide tussen Bree en Peer in. Al is Peer wel dichterbjjer dan Bree.
Bedankt voor weer een mooie video. Een bus/taxi strook in plaats van een vluchtstrook had ik nog niet eerder gezien. Of dat nou een goede oplossing is, vraag ik me af. De verschillen tussen Nederland en België zijn in ieder geval duidelijk te zien.
De bus/taxi strook dient ook als vluchtstrook. Tijdens de spitsuren kan de file naar Antwerpen echter soms tot aan Zoersel reiken. Bussen en taxi's kunnen in dat geval gebruik maken van de busstrook om niet in de file vast te staan. Als er geen file is, moeten de bussen/taxi's tussen het "normale" verkeer rijden. Enkel als de snelheid onder de 50 km/h duikt, mogen ze gebruik maken van de busstrook.
