Hello. At the moment I have TX-NR809 and I'm planing to upgrade to TX-RZ730. My question is - can I use RZ730 conneted to a 4K HDR DV TV through HDMI out (main) and a 1080p/3D projector through HDMI out (sub) at the same time (of course, not to use TV and projector at the same time)? Thanks.
Hi Luis, thanks for your inquiry - yes, it's possible to connect both 4K TV and 1080p/3D projector to HDMI Main/Sub - using either one but not both at the same time.
Hiya, my Hubby and I just recently bought this model for our home theater and it's a fantastic receiver, however it makes a click noise around every 40 to 60 minutes. Could this be a DTS track related noise? The manual suggests that this may be the case and that some noise may be normal, but we are not sure as this is the third Onkyo Receiver we've bought and the manual does not specify what type of noise exactly during a layer transition period?, This is the first time we've experienced anything like this. We've only had the Receiver for a few days and this click occurs during the DTS tracks we believe. We'll try a mono/stereo movie tonight and see if the click occurs just to make sure. However, the click is somewhat distracting. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Я не по теме, но может подскажите, у меня телевизор+ресивер с подключёнными к нему 9 колонок+сабвуфер, ресивер подключён к телевизору через ARC, к телевизору подключаю жесткий диск через USB 3.0, и проблема в том что не проигрывается дороги DTS:X и долби атмос хотя ресивеи, DTS:X еще как-то начинает играть секунд пять но потом звук пропадает, а долби атмос вообще не воспроизводится. И в чём причина я не знаю. Остальные форматы долби и простой dts проигрывает нормально. Ресивер onkyo rz730.
I had an Panasonic receiver that produced better sound, its good but not that good. I'm not sure why. I have tried many combinations and am running a pair of Niles OS 7.5 for fronts an a 6.5 center in conjunction with Yamaha NX 120 series surround speakers. Just dosnt have that powerful mid like a Pioneer or my old panasonic. It just dosnt seem to power the big speakers like it should.

I am using 2 atmos speakers on my sony str dn1080. With 4 atmos is that just another duplicated 2 channels or another 2 completely separate channels?

OK, it makes a clicking noise regardless if it's a DTS track or a mono, stereo 2.0 or whatever. So, looks like our machine may have a fault.

in the manual it says for 7.1.4 is to connect surround back to ext amp. can i connect the ext amp to front speakers and use zone 2 as heights?
