I almost fell for a similar scam. I'm a techie who's been plugged into a computer for decades and I thought I was immune to such scams. But like you I had ordered something and was expecting it any day. The SMS said they tried to deliver and I had to click the link. I went to the site, and the only thing that clued me in was that I wanted to complain because I had been sitting in the room overlooking my path and I would have noticed someone. But when I clicked on the customer service button, nothing happened. I looked at the HTML and saw it did nothing and only then did the penny drop. To this day I kick myself for nearly falling for it.
Wanna know a secret? This profiles will for ever keep popping up on tinder, match and other dating apps. Why? Because employees in charge of banning these accounts and doing other moderation required by the websites and apps are asked to focus on achieving certain amount of profiles approved and rejected to boost their metrics so the BPO's in charge get paid more money the more profiles are approved/rejected.

I used to love telling the most obnoxious stories to the Nigerian scammers to see how angry I could get them. My favorite was telling one that I needed help getting children out of Nigeria. When they ask what the hell I am talking about I would reply that my family has a lithium mine where the children we have mining constantly go blind. We then take the blind children and fly them to Mexico where we have them assemble shoes. By then they would usually get so angry they would stop responding.

I cannot stand dating app scammers thet genuinely make life miserable. they are the reasons dating apps fell off . Taking advantage of someones feelings is the most scumbag sH*t ever i feel bad for people who fall victim to these scammers because it literally changes your whole perspective on life .
As much as I agree they can be part of it. The reason dating apps fell off is because their whole purpose is not to promote dating. That and how fickle people are with ghosting/responding, gross messages, the MtF ratio, etc... Scammers are a very minute part of it tbh.
You can't expect a business to be profitable if the "customers"/"users" disappear because they found someone. They work just enough to give many hope, but that's about it.
@@Mick9330 its not a minute problem because 80% of users on dating apps are scammers from every inch of the world and dating apps are doing nothing to prevent it because if they did fix the problem they'd run outta business, dating apps arent designed to help people get matches or dates they are actually designed to keep you single making people think they are matching with real people otherwise they wouldn't have monthly plans or contracts when you subcribe to a three month plan on any dating app you are basically asking to be single for the next three months doing nothing but swiping on either fake old profiles .
I fell for it twice and it stills hurts sometimes. I recommend reverse image and number searchs for anyone on dating apps.
Im going through this rn..
Good luck on the modeling career Arjun. Hope you work things out with your dad.

Thanks for what have you done throughout your career. I just had my father commit fatal self-harm as he lost 50 morbillion dollars from a scam. I just couldn't get my foods go through the throat until I found you.
OMG!!! I got that USPS textl a few weeks ago. The reason I thought it was legit is cuz I did actually order packages (wish) and I dont often order online. The web address they have attached is either the same or similar to the actual USPS and the details ARE exactly what is on every USPS site.. What I couldn't understand is why they needed part of my address cuz I have ordered from Wish before and knew they had my correct address so if the person had my phone number why wouldn't they have my address? I ignored it and got my packages but have always wondered if I still have one floating around somewhere with something I forgot about.....Now I know ....THANKS!!!

The funniest dating app scammers are the ones that use images of porn actors. They're so lazy they don't even bother using images of lesser known porn actors that very few people would recognize. They use images of the most well known women in the industry that even people totally unfamiliar with porn know who those women are.

I’m currently texting someone I’ve met on a dating site back in 2021. There’s still a lingering feeling that I am being catfished. How can I find out if this is the real deal or not without them knowing?
Facetime them
@@tyrone8964 there was some excuse that FaceTime didn’t work. I’ve spoken to them only a few times before some excuse about calling stopped working. They are in Ghana so they claim. I let them login to Netflix and a notification said someone logged in from Ghana. They’ve told me their name which they use to live in my area but when I tried to search for their identity using a search engine that only works for people within the states there were no results. I’m not sure if information gets removed after a certain period of time for people or if I am being lied to.
Yes, do a video call. And do them at different times. You can also Google Lens their photos and see if they are who they say they are.
Wow, that's top class. The best I could come up with was back in the day, when I was receiving a lot of spam from China. I always replied along the lines of, "Thank you for your latest coded order for weapons to overthrow your hated government. The shipment has been sent via the usual route."
Somehow they never came back.

"Catfisher Catfishes Catfisher for Catfishing"
My sister was being scammed last year. She wanted to buy a gecko online, the person said they were from the US but asked us to send the money to their brother in Nigeria so I was suspicious. My sister wouldn't admit it though (it was so obvious too, the pictures of the geck didn't match lol), until I managed to find the city, the adress, the real facebook account, and the school that the scammer went to (only with google, absolutely no hacking lol, this person was bad), and I made my sister notice that the screenshots the scammer sent her weren't of the good time zone. So i saved my sister from being scammed out of 200$. I was pretty proud lol.
Love to see this! I hate catfishes and scammers on dating apps. 😂

I remember back in my tinder dating days matching with people who would immediately say "Hello dear!" And i instantly knew it would eventually lead to a conversation about BITCOIN.
