Your welcome! I spent about 12 hours on the video. Kept cutting stuff out and adding graphics. Must have had 4 different versions that I kept changing.
@StrykerBreaks I have a Riley Greene Red Rookie Relic numbered 3 out of 5 and a base image variation RC from the series 1 and 2 complete set. They had nothing else at Target. I tried looking em up but couldn't find anything about em. Do u know anything more or any advice on how to find out if their worth anything or not? Either way I like the channel
I opened a jumbo also, and for set collectors I was able to get the complete set. I pulled the independence day of Show-time from my jumbo. I need to start sending cards grading this year. I have a few I would like to grade.
First time. Subbed. Like your style and it’s funny how you just fly through that Jumbo. I savor my rips. I’m back into collecting for first time in 20 years. Have been enjoying it. Looking forward to my first jumbo box.
Retail is rough. Thanks for all the work into this! I got a hanger bundle from Steel City and one of them had an Independence Day and an Auto. I definitely beat the odds on that one.
The primary value for retail is that the cost per card is so much lower for the base set. If you are a base set completionist, or you really like the 1988 refresh set, retail is the way to go. If you want parallels and want a chance at making your investment back, it's gotta be jumbo or nothing.
Hey Stryker, great video as always! I have ripped 15 blasters in the name of science, and can honestly say there is no reason to buy them😂 they will definitely be sitting on the shelves until 2030.
I picked up 6 blasters and 6 hangers yesterday. The blasters were terrible. Recieved a chrome Stars in 4 blasters. Zero numbered out of either. 2 auto’s from hangers and some rainbow foils and blue parallels. That’s it. 5 each of the top 6 or so rookies. Looks like the blasters have leftover jumbo/hobby cards in them with a foil sprinkled in. Pass on blasters. Maybe on hangers. Good luck everyone. Thanks for the breakdown!!!
You may have heard but I just saw that the 2023 Topps Julio Autograph 1/1 was pulled from a jumbo box. Bummer it was a sticker auto but still a helluva pull
Super useful information, thanks Stryker. If anything your spreadsheets just point out how pointless it is to rip packs unless you're set building. At $0.27 per card (hobby) or less in retail, ripping those products to build a set make a lot of sense and at least give you the (long) shot of hitting something super nice. If you're parallel hunting for your PC, I can't see why you'd pay $1,540 for the odds to hit a vintage stock parallel ( in Jumbo, for example) when you can easily buy a single off eBay of the top rookie Rutschman for $350 (currently listed). I mean I know it's common knowledge that singles are the way to go for value and you rarely make your money back on a box rip, but this spreadsheet just proves how true that is. So to your question in the video about why anyone would buy blasters, I guess you could say it's one of the cheaper way to set build (although buying the hangars are even better for that it seems). The numbers in your spreadsheet compared to singles prices on eBay just shows how out of whack boxes/packs prices have gotten. The online breaks definitely contribute to that.
I have pulled fire from topps retail blaster box back in 2020 I stopped at a Target on my lunch break I bought two 2020 Topps Chrome blaster boxes the first blaster box I pulled a base Luis Robert Auto and the other box I pulled a blue Luis Robert Auto and that's when his cards we're going for a lot
Good news for set builders, this should keep box prices reasonable for awhile. I was one of those people that liked to buy a box occasionally of Topps base brand and gradually filled in the set, just the way I did it since i was a kid.
Fun ending break! I knew Jumbo's were way better than hobby for sure. I opened a few hobby's and hit a Kody Clemens auto and a black of David Mckinnon of the A's. In my only Jumbo so far I hit a silver pack Orange of Ivan Herrera auto /25! In the box an Andruw Jones auto, a Golden Mirror of Riley and Miggy a rainbow foil of Julio and Shea Langaliers ,a Black of Gleyber Torres to /72 and a gold of CJ Abrams. So yeah Jumbo's are the way to go.
I bought 6 2023 Series 1 Blasters the other day. Out of all 6 Boxes I only pulled 1 gold card & 3 rainbow parallels. However, I did pull a Joey Votto camouflage /25 so maybe there’s something to the blasters possibly having better ‘hits’. It’s just going to cost a small fortune to find them. Thanks for the video & the info!
Great video, I pulled a Green Ice Foilboard Riley Greene out of a hanger and a Golden Mirror SSP AL ERA Leaders Verlander, Cease, Manoah out of a blaster box.
Generally retail in this set is not at all good. However, I did buy 3 hangars and in one of them there was an Adley Rutschman "Home Field Advantage." It was quite the surprise.
We all appreciate how much time and effort you put into these videos. Thank you for all the great content. I wonder if I will ever buy retail products again?
Great video!!! I rip a jumbo for myself it was loaded including a vintage stock, independence day and advanced stats and numbered relic Josh Smith auto and Adley rainbow foil enjoyed it alot!!!!
I understand the thought process behind "base cards are worthless", because to the person that is trying to only/mostly profit off of this, then that makes sense. You can't make money off of most base cards. However, not everyone collects for profit solely. I have all base cards from my teams (Mariners, Seahawks, Sonics when they existed lol) for every season. They are for me and I totally understand that they aren't worth much to anyone else, but they certainly hold value to me.
Stryker strikes again with another informative video that's also entraining, AWESOME job! Let's get this channel to 100 K! I can tell you without doing any math or looking at odds from past jumbo boxes of series 1, that 2023 Jumbos are the best in years maybe as far back as 2015 Update. So your chart at the end comparing Jumbos is accurate based on our experience of opening boxes of series one for several years.
Thanks for doing this again. Looks like ripping the occasional Hobby or Jumbo is the ticket even at increased prices. My LCS couldn't even get Jumbos this year, only Hobby boxes. The Big 3 will keep "Selling Out" and each time they restock the price will increase. Even though it seems there should be plenty of Supply to meet the Demand with the increased production. If we had access to the product.
I would check the back of night every 1988 cards because you could get a real one out of 88 and it has no difference on the front only on the back has a stamp of out of 88. I have Nolan Gorman out of 88, 1988 Topps design.
I bought a Jumbo Case pre order but won't open. What's total crap imo is that they ruined retail. It should be more balanced than it is. I agree that Hobby and Jumbo should offer more hits because of cost but in years past I pulled bangers like JRod Independence Day and JRod anniversary auto out of retail. Thanks Stryker for the breakdown as always. You're the only breaker I watch. The value series is always a must watch.
Jumbo is the way to go, I got my first jumbo box and the amount of hits in it were insane!! The price at my LCS was $175. This is what I got....... Liover Peguero on card Autograph (Pirates) Nolan Arenado Jersey Relic Willy Adames Manufactured Relic Julio Rodriguez Heavy Lumber wood card Shohei Ohtani vintage stock #/99 Aaron Judge silver pack blue #'d/150 2 green sparkles #/499 (Merrill Kelly & Atlanta Braves team card) 1 red sparkle #/149 (Chicago Cubs team card) Independence day #/76 (David Villar - Giants) Advanced Stat #/300 (Kyle Gibson - Phillies)
Thanks for the video Stryker. Love these and they definitely DO cause people to go nuts and sell out the big online stores. I could be wrong, but it seems theres a math error in the silver cards per player. We go from 1.26 million total cards to 0.6 million divided by 100. I think it should be 1.26 million divided by 100 to get 12,600 silver cards per player.
Bought 2 jumbos. One had Ohtani Mother's Day Pink /50 and the other had Adley Rutschman Home Field Advantage and a Dale Murphy 1988 Auto /99. Go with the jumbos
Yeah, I picked up two basters yesterday. Knew it was unlikely to provide anything outside basic inserts/base, but I was excited to see 2023. It was a freakin' desert. One numbered card out of the two. One rainbow foil. Two retail blue. Otherwise it was a lot of nothing. Sucks because you don't just pick up jumbos on a whim. Might have to bite the bullet and order one. Otherwise....? Seems like the odds are sliiightly better out of hangers than blasters, so I guess when I'm in that "open some retail" mood, I might have to limit myself to hangers. Or continue opening '22 Heritage High Number and Stadium Club, lol.
Buy a jumbo if you can but that price is expensive. I got a hobby for $78 instead...got all the big base rookies, several nice inserts, a few parallels, a couple #'s...but no big hits. I was thinking about the positives...well, as a casual collector...it's nice to get the base desirables all right there in a hobby. I'll most likely get singles going forward for this series. Great video and thank you for the knowledge!
The last flagship retail i opened was 2021 S2 blasters and almost all had 2 numbered in them. That’s about 7 numbered cards for the $85 you spent. There’s no value anymore
The gold mirror ssp are generally 1 per jumbo case. Not guaranteed. I had several without. But in 5 cases, you will have 1 case with 2. I broke 30. This was my experience.
I ended up getting 3 of the same 4 cards in both of my silver packs…I get increasing the checklist to keep the cc down on the silver pack cards but they just ended up adding a bunch more players we’re not interested in…a bit of a bummer!
The all foil card is referred to as a filler card and is meant to be thrown out after they cut the sheet. It’s a placeholder on the sheet when there isn’t an exact number of player cards to fill it.

Hey man! Im new to the card collecting. Im a mariners fan and with julio on the box i chose to start with this set. Im blown away by how much there is to learn. Being new im reading and watching videos. Ive spent about 400$ at walmart on the small boxes. I have an ssp. Idk anything other than your video said it was hard. I will be following snd looking forward to more great videos like this. For beginners im having a hard time following what type of box each one is. Realizing i could spend that on one box alone is almost deflating. Any tips for beginners?!? Thanx
Retail so high in production cause of all the marketing fanatics is doing, I believe your going to see these everywhere, I believe you will see a lot of new stores in malls getting retail ect. They want
Revisions: 2022 Update Silver Pack checklist was 75 cards, not 50. Total Silver Pack Mojos per player (2023 S1)is around 12,000, not 6,000.
Keep devaluing your cards Topps or Fanatics or whoever the hell is behind this FUBAR situation.
Thanks Stryker. This video is going to hit that RUclips algorithm to the moon
Your welcome! I spent about 12 hours on the video. Kept cutting stuff out and adding graphics. Must have had 4 different versions that I kept changing.
@StrykerBreaks

I tried looking em up but couldn't find anything about em. Do u know anything more or any advice on how to find out if their worth anything or not? Either way I like the channel
I'll never buy the set again. Only the 1 Relic card and 5 RC variations in the whole set. I.was really disappointed
I opened a jumbo also, and for set collectors I was able to get the complete set. I pulled the independence day of Show-time from my jumbo. I need to start sending cards grading this year. I have a few I would like to grade.

Good info, thanks!
You may have heard but I just saw that the 2023 Topps Julio Autograph 1/1 was pulled from a jumbo box. Bummer it was a sticker auto but still a helluva pull
Stryker Breaks is by far the most informative baseball card channel out there. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to the hobby.
That Eric Davis auto was sick. One of my favorite players
Super useful information, thanks Stryker. If anything your spreadsheets just point out how pointless it is to rip packs unless you're set building. Dude excellent work on this video and information. Thank you 🙏🏻
Went to the Denver Card Show this weekend, great time ! Met a youtuber who watches Stryker Breaks and Step in the box !!
Fun ending break! I knew Jumbo's were way better than hobby for sure. I opened a few hobby's and hit a Kody Clemens auto and a black of David Mckinnon of the A's. Appreciate the work you put into informing the community! I had been eagerly anticipating this video, great job as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Me too! I've been watching other videos and every time I've finished I've just been waiting for Stryker's! My favorite out there.
I bought one Jumbo box, hit a 1/1 Pasquantino Stars of the Game Platinum auto, sold immediately. So I really enjoy this product obviously
I pulled a Vaughn Grissom 1 of 1 Black Printing plate Autograph from bowman Best 2023. It was my first time ever ripping open any sports product.
Great video. Really helps me layout my future purchases. I think your best videos are your educational ones about the hobby.
Thank you!
Stryker is the man!!! Love this getting us straight on what is what. Get them jumbos ladies. Don’t get the yam bag blasters.
Great video, I pulled a Green Ice Foilboard Riley Greene out of a hanger and a Golden Mirror SSP AL ERA Leaders Verlander, Cease, Manoah out of a blaster box.
Wow NICE!
That being said, thanks for another great video and putting in the time to pull together all the info for us, you’re the man Stryker!
Glad to help!
Thank you very much! I think these retail odds might change as we move forward with releases. We will just have to wait an see.
Thanks Stryker love your vids and how you breakdown the different boxes. This is extremely helpful!
I got my first 1 of 1 out of a 2023 blaster…. Eric Lauer Magenta printing plate 😂😂
Stryker say.....
Great wisdom from the man, the myth, the legend.
I just buy blasters because as a kid it’s harder to save up for jumbo boxes. Im gonna save up for a hobby box tho
Great video!!! I rip a jumbo for myself it was loaded including a vintage stock, independence day and advanced stats and numbered relic Josh Smith auto and Adley rainbow foil enjoyed it alot!!!!
Great box!
Thanks for the value breakdown! I agree Jumbo is it. Been lucky so far with mine. Even double dipped an auto out of the silver pack.
I understand the thought process behind "base cards are worthless", because to the person that is trying to only/mostly profit off of this, then that makes sense. Picked up my first hanger at Walgreens and pulled a Gunnar Henderson gold card. Extremely clean cut, too. Might hold this one.
Stryker is 2nd to none. Thank you for the stellar content once again.
I appreciate it, thanks!
Stryker strikes again with another informative video that's also entraining, AWESOME job! Let's get this channel to 100 K! Striker to 100K!!! and Up North Collectors to at least 50K!!!
I look forward to this video every big release. Thanks for all the hard work.
Thanks for doing this again.

Even though it seems there should be plenty of Supply to meet the Demand with the increased production. If we had access to the product.
Crazy that they couldn't get any Jumbos with the massive increase in production.
Since you’re a Detroit fan, I pulled a 1988 Riley Greene light Blue border out of a Hobby box.
I would check the back of night every 1988 cards because you could get a real one out of 88 and it has no difference on the front only on the back has a stamp of out of 88. I have Nolan Gorman out of 88, 1988 Topps design.
Thanks for doing the numbers, it is insane how the format matters.
Blaster I got had nothing but trash. No secret there..
Thanks for doing all the math, God bless you man.
I bought a Jumbo Case pre order but won't open. What's total crap imo is that they ruined retail. It should be more balanced than it is. I think retail should be a little more balanced as well. I imagine that Panini will continue to adjust to meet the needs of collectors.
Jumbo is the way to go, I got my first jumbo box and the amount of hits in it were insane!! The price at my LCS was $175. This is what I got.......
Liover Peguero on card Autograph (Pirates)
Nolan Arenado Jersey Relic
Willy Adames Manufactured Relic
Julio Rodriguez Heavy Lumber wood card
Shohei Ohtani vintage stock #/99
Aaron Judge silver pack blue #'d/150
2 green sparkles #/499 (Merrill Kelly & Atlanta Braves team card)
1 red sparkle #/149 (Chicago Cubs team card)
Independence day #/76 (David Villar - Giants)
Advanced Stat #/300 (Kyle Gibson - Phillies)
Nice box!
“Jumbos are the way to go everybody knows that by now” except for the noobs like myself lol. Subscribed.
Nice box opening! Thank you for breaking down the information!
You're Welcome!
Wow I’m thankful for the two blacks I pulled out of my 2 hobby and 2 jumbos
This video won my follow. Great job, Sir!
Nice jumbo, and appreciate the production breakdowns as always!
Look forward to see what's cooking for the next livestream!
Thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for your time and effort to put this video together. Guys like you are great for the hobby.

Thanks, found it and noted in revisions.
I love when u do these videos Thank u so much for sharing with us.
This is mind blowing to me. I don’t what to think.
This is always a great part of Stryker’s content.
Bought 2 jumbos. One had Ohtani Mother's Day Pink /50 and the other had Adley Rutschman Home Field Advantage and a Dale Murphy 1988 Auto /99. Go with the jumbos
Great video! Thank you for the analysis. The hobby is better with channels like yours bro!
Thanks for the breakdown as always man! Love how you deep dive into it. Not a fan of the manufactured relics but that Morel is nice! #GoCubs
Thanks for watching!
Well done sir! New sub!

Great comment! Thanks!
The last flagship retail i opened was 2021 S2 blasters and almost all had 2 numbered in them. That’s about 7 numbered cards for the $85 you spent. There’s no value anymore
I have herd jumbo is best, your hard work and spreadsheets proves it! Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it!
Awesome info per usual my man. Bought one hobby and one jumbo and hit the Julio SSP!
Awesome! I love that Julio SSP!
I pulled a Michael Harris RC on the 88 design out of a blaster on Friday.
Here we go! Thanks Stryker
The gold mirror ssp are generally 1 per jumbo case. Not guaranteed. I had several without. But in 5 cases, you will have 1 case with 2. I broke 30. This was my experience.
Thanks for doing the dirty work once again on the box break downs.
I bought 3 blasters and I did better than what I thought I was gonna do. I pulled 2 rainbow foil. 3 retail blues 1 gold and 1 gold mirror ssp.
Hi Stryker, I’m just getting into baseball card collecting. Thank you for this info!
I ended up getting 3 of the same 4 cards in both of my silver packs…I get increasing the checklist to keep the cc down on the silver pack cards but they just ended up adding a bunch more players we’re not interested in…a bit of a bummer!
I opened a couple hanger boxes today and pulled a DUAL auto of Bryce Harper and Mike Trout /10. Probably the craziezt pull ive ever got.
Thank you for the stats. Interesting blank rainbow foil.
Rainbow shill Just sitting on top....weird
Lots of work put in, thanks
wish I knew this before I bought 5 blasters. thanks for the info
I'll bet you'll still get some good stuff out of the Blasters. Just longer odds.
Man you got that KB and Morel!! As a Cubs fan it would've been an awesome Jumbo.
Great stuff, as usual!!!! Thanks so much for all you do, Stryker!!!!
Glad you enjoy it!
I love the 2022 update blasters but it’s so easy to let the S1 blasters sit on the shelf
Nothing beats old school Topps cards with the gum in the packs
The all foil card is referred to as a filler card and is meant to be thrown out after they cut the sheet. It’s a placeholder on the sheet when there isn’t an exact number of player cards to fill it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and hard work!
what a beast. these breakdowns guide my buying
That blank foil card people are speculating might be the Hidden gems cards. Maybe they peel like the old Finest cards or some sort of rip card. Nobody knows yet but for sure a keeper until something is announced one way or the other by Topps/Fanatics. I've about 2 or 3 other ones so far
Thanks. I enjoyed and appreciate the info. I opened a Jumbo and 3 of the packs were identical. How common have you heard of this.
I've pulled a advanced stats an auto SSP all from hangers so hangers are bangers!
to go with the better hits out of blasters theory, i did pull a homefield advantage out of a blaster the other day. so who knows.
I was not disappointed in the blasters
3 blasters
4foil
2 blue
2 SoM chrome
1 downtown
Awesome breakdown as always.
Appreciate it!
Great 👍 always enjoy the content..can't wait till my fanatics jumbo gets delivered
Great job. Such good info. Thank you.
Alrighty, no more opening series 1! I'll hold on to that last jumbo I've got and see if I get any bites! Thank you!
Hey man! Im new to the card collecting. Im a mariners fan and with julio on the box i chose to start with this set. Im blown away by how much there is to learn. Glad you like them!
I want that Eric Davis. Let the bidding begin.
I pulled a Patrick wisdom ssp out of my target blaster preorder :)
Congrats! I like Wisdom.
I opened one blaster box and pulled a Bryce Harper HFA and one retail blue card. Not bad for one box imo
Wouldn't that be interesting if HFAs came out easier out of retail...hmmmm
9:25 that’s a fat gem.
Thanks for all this great info!
Retail so high in production cause of all the marketing fanatics is doing, I believe your going to see these everywhere, I believe you will see a lot of new stores in malls getting retail ect. They want
Awsome vid Stryker! Kinda bummed me out tho, retail used to be my jam but with odds like these theres almsot no point
I love that Eric Davis auto. I got Vinnie Pasquantino auto in my jumbo box, I would have liked the Davis better!
I bought two hangers just to get the new rookies. Got a Riley Green patch auto /25!
WOW!!!
