Excellent route. It is very similar to the cycling course for Zell am See in Austria, but without sharp turns. Thank you for the video.

No problem. I've never had the chance to ride in Austria, or any of the famous routes through Europe, but I'd like to one day.

Oh, Austria is something !! I passed Ironman 70.3 in 2017. Descent from the mountain was the most difficult because of the great loss of altitude and serpentine. Many athletes have broken the rear wheel from braking. I, unfortunately, too. But I was lucky, I was able to change the tire and finish. That was incredible! Now I want a full Ironman in Lake Placid) It's my dream.

    Great video.
At 6:10 on the video you are doing 68 KM/H which is 42 mph in a 35 mph zone.
If you were a car that could get you a ticket - for speeding 1 to 10 mph over the limit the range is $45 to $150 for NY State.

Where on your aerobars did you mount GoPro session (middle or far out toward edge)? This is the best video I've seen with it mounted there. My concern is getting the aerobars in the view, but here it's totally fine. Did you use a K Edge mount? If so, what brand if you don't mind?

Hi Ivan, I don't still have this mount, but it was a cheap plastic Amazon mount that came in one of their GoPro mount bundles.

@@dacelimited That's very promising to hear! So it was attached to one of your aerobars?

Ivan B yea. It didn’t look great, it was a plastic clamp mount, but did the trick.

@@IvanBFit Yes, attached to an aerobar extension.

Thank you for the videos! Plan to check more out. Do you use a Garmin curb for this to inlay the data?

I use Garmin Virb. It's pretty easy to use, but lately I have found it to be glitchy and crash when I try to add the Garmin file to the video.

This video motivated me to go ahead and try this descent. I was not disappointed. Lots of fun, but if you're doing the Ironman course, don't forget you have to climb back up on the Whiteface side to get back to Lake Placid. :-)
