Exactly. Red invited the plow. There wasn’t a reason to take the 692. The 693 was better in general plus doesn’t allow anyone to plow. Would still be able to get the 3:1 port plus that sheep port. Also a nice road game.
oj went off base when he started bragging about being from a more developed country but Argentinians are 100% more likely to be toxic than other nationalities. It's like this in soccer too.
funny how orange is making fun of red for being from Argentina "a poor country" as he says, while himself being from Serbia. Moreover Argentina has x10 GDP of Serbia lmao. also GDP per capita is higher. Anyways good game Dandy!
In all honesty, Blue had the best runway to win this game but him pulling 6 knights and burning his mono defensively wasn't ideal. He also misplaced and should have taken 5411 and crushed even more on cities and devs. I stand by not being the rob when at 5 points but I understand why they hit me.
@@dandydrew Everyone else played some real headscratcher moves in this one. Lots of hurt feelings and erratic decisions. There were times you were the logical target (and didn't get hit) and times you weren't (and DID get hit!). You did very well to stay low key and pull out the win, for sure. My main takeaway is that it's nice to see even the very best players have to deal with this sort of game sometimes. Very instructive. For most of us, these chaotic finishes are the norm!
As someone who has enjoyed playing casually with family, this was an interesting find on my RUclips feed. The trade spam is very different from how tabletop can feel
I was surprised at Orange's flaming at first, but now knowing where he's from, I'd like to see another Balkan player to go back and forth with him. Or even better I'd like to see Drew being exposed to a full Balkan lobby lol.
LOL, it's ironic how Orange tells Drew to stop complaining, only to do the same thing when Red blocks him. Add in some questionable behavior, and you've got quite the character. Calling him a latino prick, not a class act!
Orange aiming for that port with his 2nd pick wasn't good. Even though he won that battle, it caused him to lose the war, because he had a target on his back for the best of the game. The 6/3 didn't have a port, but the 6 wood was more beneficial than the 8 brick for him, and he would still have access to the 3:1 port and be just fine.
In all seriousness, this toxicity is something I deal with all the time on colonist and it makes me want to leave the platform. @DandyDrew, do you have any ideas on how the community could address this issue?
Hi Dandy, welcome back! been binge watching ur vids while u were gone. was wondering if 1528 rating on 4p is a good rank? climbed up from 1100 after watching a lot of ur vids. thanks!
Bro, you were clearly the biggest threat to run away with the game. There was no guarantee that blue had VPs. They had no choice but to block you. And you still won the game. How do you "not understand this"? LMFAO.
Totally agree. Another commenter months ago put it well: “dandy is table talking the audience”. It was nice later in the video when dandy wasn’t robbed and he admitted that it should have been him. And yeah, there was a scenario where blue had better devs and could have won, but the solos that blue did to dandy I think were totally the right call (maybe even the ago ones considering he had extra knights) Also that time the 6 was left open and then immediately rolled was game changing
I just wanna say I was BLUE. Dandy is great at table talking. I shouldn’t have been toxic. I do apologize for that. I get toxic since it’s just us randos behind a keyboard board. Anyways, dandy was the right block. Orange ruined my game by constantly popping instead of extending and maybe plowing dandy. I had so many knights. My game was strictly OWS. I had no wood or brick lol. It was so hard to build. I never got that settle. Orange and red kept making weird blocks. Meanwhile dandy had the best brick and wood combo WITH a wood port. Me and dandy were the biggest threats. Yet as he inched closer they kept blocking me. Claiming I had this and that. Yet if it was true I would’ve wind a long time. Maybe where I did mess up is I should’ve seen orange was buying devs and nothing else. He didn’t build much. Dandy simply won the game because of the incompetence of the other two. I was stolen to death at the end because they were afraid of a few knights. Mean while I had no brick or wood lol. As an OWS player what else am I to do but buy development cards? Once dandy built to the 9 I knew I was in trouble. He had everything he needed. Yet he tried to play it off. Was he toxic? No. Does he have toxic traits? Yes! He plays victim and table talks people into fears that don’t exist. Is it smart? Yes! But playing dumb like you don’t know what you’re doing is just as toxic.
@@alejandroshernandez2525 Nice to play with you and unlucky on some of the dev pulls. I think in many cases if we switch setups, I would have rather taken your setup since you had an absolutely clear advantage on army. You could have also taken 5411 down to really up your ore and have a bit more of an explosive setup. That being said, you could have made some better deals to get your settles down faster and focus on balancing road and at that point, you really control the pace of the game. As an example, when you monoed the brick, you could have attempted to trade some of it back to orange to fight road. I do agree that the other 2 players were unbalancing this game but it was mostly in both our favors, making this pretty much a 1v1. At the point when I was at 5 points and you were on 6 with 3 down devs and a city, there is not doubt you were in the lead and anything other than knights was most likely winning. I know some people hate when I talk about me not being the block but I always play from the assumption that the players are going to play the most optimal balancing and offensive moves - When they don't play correctly, I will do my best to punish that, which is what happened here.
It is the player's responsibility to take into account the possible emotional reaction to others on the board. That being said, is it really Oj's fault for blocking the player he is fighting for a spot? It's part of the game.
Don’t understand why you disagree with blue his blocks? He can literally only block you by soloing you, no one else shares a tile with you. Red was always blocking orange as well, so blue cannot just sit there and ignore you can he?
I don't get people throwing tantrums over plow or block, which is literally a part of the game. And it's not like Catan has that many mechanics :D Like you spend 30 minutes trying to ruin somebody's game and somehow feel like they deserve it and you are doing the world a favor... so pathetic.
20 minutes straight of you whining and playing the victim made for a bad watching experience. Keep your table talk for the game, not the audience. Besides that, love your channel. It’s very helpful for learning.
If red would have taken 369 as 2nd pick, orange would not be able to plow to the sheep port. Red did it to himself by keeping 349 open. Good game.
Absolutely agree. 693 is amazing for him.

Agreed. That just made zero sense. Didn't understand his choice at all. Was a pure mistake.
Not red being a baby and orange being racist ☠☠☠
its why ive ditched 4 player its just gotten so insanely toxic lol
Racist against his own race?

Dandy these games are hilarious, glad you post them
You don’t have to hope that they get reported for their behaviour; you are in the game with them and can report them. I hope you did.
I did. 🥶

Only Drew could've navigated through this chaos. Well played.

Always great content Drew! Love how you called the vp pull haha

Can someone tell me where it tells you what position you start the game in. Can’t seem to find it for the life of me.

What’s the application name that you play on? The Catan Universe app is so different from this.

Orange player is super weird. I would report someone like that.
I guessed the position correctly!
I was tempted to play, but then I saw this game am reminded that I don't like people very much.
Not every game is this way. Majority of folks are fair and reasonable. This isn't a Catan problem but a humanity issue.
You can play 1v1 which avoids “people” for the most part, and is a much faster gameplay
I started typing Id take 6 5 12 and 6 4 3, u did the same. Id have just taken 6 5 12 last

4 player ranked is so toxic lately. Seems like nobody gets banned anymore
Nothing justifies orange being a prick like this... even if red is trying to ruin his game what he said is extremely lame and should ban him.
