If Chris Nolan directed a movie with a Joss Whedon script I think the universe would blow up. And I would be OK with that. I mean first we'd have to see the movie. But if the universe exploded after it made $800 million, that would be OK with me.
It's been 10 years since you commented but I just searched your name up and it is so amazing and inspiring to see that you've gotten work and are in the industry pursuing what you love!! Incredible work man!
Chris Nolan seems to get what so many other filmmakers don't. Movies in and of themselves start out with one monolithic hurdle, they are entirely visual artifice, a series of sequentially projected frames that when properly displayed open a window into a sort of cinematic reality. It's Nolan's insistence on incorporating the greatest amount of live-action material possible, regardless of cost or effort, that temper his films with a level of believability that is fast vanishing from cinema.
They say you can't judge people by their appearance... but I think Christopher Nolan may be an exception to that rule... look at the hair on his forehead, its in the shape of the bat symbol...
Joss Whedon is a great screenwriter but come on, Nolan also writes and his screenplays make Whedon's look like they where written by a 8 year old. So, the right formula still is: Chris Nolan directing + Chris Nolan writing = Epicness.
@ThinkumDinkum ....not really......there are much better villains that would make a much smarter, yet thrilling conclusion......have you even seen this video though? They talk about everything here. Bane is in it. Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) is in it. Lately, there were some rumors that Hugo Strange might be in it....but no confirmation.
Relax, I was simply referring to your last statement... that a comics - > movie adaption is considered a joke. I found that particular sentence to be a joke itself. But as you said, you are entitled to your opinion and it was my mistake for not reading it properly I suppose. I apologize.
nolan is much more better than cameroon.Nolan is the best of the best filmmaker today and i hope there is a man in this world who will make better films than him in upcoming days, may we have to wait for 3 or 4 years for that day to come
... While Spielberg & Cameron have great commercial sense, & they are great director but they do compromise art at times for commercial aspects as Producer/Director! While mentioned before ones usually don't compromise on their sensibilities of art & hence can't get commercial success! Only Nolan manages to get incredibly true to his Artistic sensibilities & still managed to reach a huge audience & got commercial success! & he's the only one with 100% track record of making great films! NOLAN!!! PLEASE DO THE JUSTICE LEAGUE!!! i know you said you got no interest in jumping in but YOU SHOULD!!!! Marvel its killing us with their KID FRIENDLY movies :/
this video was uploaded on Feb 13th my 21st birthday last year :D if I saw this video on my birthday it would've made me happy, because Nolan is definitely one of my favourite directors of all time, any film he makes is always AMAZING. Trust in Nolan! :D
You gotta wait a lil longer. Just watched Jonathan Nolan talk about TDK. i was in the mood but it was too late to watch it. I'm going to and oooooo boy i'm gonna come back here and set you straight
... There are other great directors as well! But NOLAN's real greatness to me isn't that he's made great films! Well thats a great achievement! While Spielberg & Cameron have great commercial sense, & they are great director but they do compromise art at times for commercial aspects as Pro
Christopher Nolan will achieve the academy award for best director in 2012 for The Dark Knight Rises, this time they can't ignore him, and if it goes to Peter Jackson for The Hobbit part 1 i'll start a rally
... Only Nolan manages to get incredibly true to his Artistic sensibilities & still managed to reach a huge audience & got commercial success! & he's the only one with 100% track record of making great films! His average percentage of approval for his all six films from Memento to Inception is (Critics: 91%) & (Audience: 92%)! & thats an incredible achievement!
@redarmyrules Dont forget about Peter Jackson and James Cameron. Peter Jackson for "Lord of the rings trilogy" James Cameron for "Titanic" and "Avatar"

He's certainly one the most intelligent & genius man ever worked in Hollywood, ever! & By far, The Most genius & intelligent man in Hollywood, right now!!
He's my favourite director. I cannot fault any of his movies, great storylines and plots and always chooses the best actors. I cannot believe he hasn't won an Oscar, that award is just a load of bullshit.
best director of this generation... he knows action and story... alot of directors focus on one aspect. either the action or story but nolan can do both, which is clear talent.
i started clapping and then i realised i'm in a coffee shop...
obviously a talented director but man he is so articulate and intelligent

@redarmyrules its spelled Nolan
Ridley Scott's Aliens actually.
@mniyad I'd say James Cameron for Titanic and Aliens.
Batman & Robin beats The Dark Knight hands down.
to me batman forever and robin never happened!
He is the reason I left studying chiropractic to pursue a career in filmmaking... He is a hero, a legend... he is the Dark Knight

''pursue the film you want to go see the most'' words of a very genuine film-maker
I can listen this man all day and it would still feel less!
Chris Nolan is the next big thing , all dumb people care about are actors not enough about the people behind the camera.
They say you can't judge people by their appearance... but I think Christopher Nolan may be an exception to that rule... look at the hair on his forehead, its in the shape of the bat symbol...

Right!? I'm pretty sure Dom Cobb is Chris Nolan's want to be alter ego. There's a Cobb in Following too.
Yeah, let's just pan the interview to the left channel and put the idiotic music in the right ear, that's so helpful and not distracting at all.
Bitch please!!!, he is one of the most talented filmmakers in the industry
Thumbs up if you want to see "Space Wars"
watch nolan and the water its funny
I don't think it's possible for him to make a bad movie.
The Alfred Hitchcock of our times!
Chris Nolan doesn't make talking animal movies. But if he did, they'd be the best talking animal movies in the world.
He really has a sense of humor.
audio is so bad, can barely understand is so distant
Nolan is a very intelligent Director. Dark Knight and Inception are just amazing movies.

@AnnaBarton10 Actually it might be a interesting idea. Don't forget Curtis Hanson the maker of L.A. Confidential made a romantic comedy (In Her Shoes)
his eyes are scary. like scary blue.
@bboybram Don't forget Robin Williams, he stole the show in the movie. Everyone else in that movie was horrible, including Pacino
I can't. putlocker loads too slow. i'll get too it. but when i do oooo boy is your ass gonna be sorry!

Balancing And togetherness
Both are.
Wow! Everything about this video was great... and Leo's speech at the end, truly deep and captive. Great work, thanks for upload!
Just type "dark knight ending speech" and watch it so we can settle this.

Did you have to write "LOL".

James Cameron for "Titanic" and "Avatar"
This man is a genius!!!
Go LEGO muviezz!
@qwuezalothus Actually Nolan is a hero we need not a hero we deserve. So he is more like Harvey Dent.
Well Nolan, in 2012, the world's attention will be on you and B and B. Not just good luck: all the luck to you!
Actually, Nolan is to Hollywood what DENT was to Gotham. Not the hero it deserves, but the hero it needs. Desperately needs.
@ThinkumDinkum well....too late!!! The official announcement was made LONG TIME AGO.... the Riddler will NOT be in the movie! Get over it!
@charmander4533 Him, Ridley Scott, Peter Weir and handful of other visionaries who the academy continues to snub.
How can u not like this man!

Uh, yeah, I did, and in that movie, Dent is the hero Gotham needs, whereas Batman is the one it deserves.

christopher nolan is the BESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, Nolan is the best movie maker of the 21st century. I hope he finally gets his best director oscar with the Dark Knight Rises!
No, it's not. Listen to Gordon's speech at the end of the movie.
OH WE GON SETTLE THIS! after i eat my dinner. Hold on. I'm eating ribs with rice.
I think I've just come to the point now where I look at Nolan and just think, god damn, you are my idol dude!
Actually I think you are the only one, I was being sarcastic.
Christopher Nolan:The director who represents our generation.
I cannot wait to see the ten year anniversary screening of Memento.
Only one word to describe Christopher Nolan: GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Batman drinks lots of water :)
@buttermore11
Your right, Robin Wiliams did an amazing job...
Nolan is to Hollywood what Batman is to Gotham!
i never heard of Modern Master Wawrd before....
He should really develop a story from one of his childhood films :)
i never heard of Modern Master Award before....
No I don't. Listen to Gordon's speech at the end of TDK.
