I really think Kira signed a different contract then the other moms. Case in point, Kira and Kalani were changed and ready to leave the Matty B video, but the producers said they would kick them off the show if they did. It would certainly explains why Abby was only mad at Holly. Abby probably didn't care because Kalani isn't actually an ALDC member. This whole scene reeks of producer set up pot stirring.

Abby doesn't care because Kalani is under a different contract. She isn't a part of the ALDC team or the ALDC in general. The moms know that, they just have to make drama for the producers to show. This show is so boring lol

Honestly, I feel like Holly and Nia do not get respected as much as the other children and mothers. Whenever the other children for their own thing, Abby's proud. But when it comes to Nia and Holly it's a whole different story. I feel like they should be getting more respect than they have now, since they have been with the ALDC since the beginning
it doesn’t matter how long they’ve been there because Nia is a really poor dancer. no offence, i like nia as a perosn, but her dancing and technique need serious work

Kalani is not even a real member of the aldc it's just for the show, if her actual dance teacher lets her choreograph a dance is none of their problem gee!!

It shouldn't, but it did.
One of the reasons Abby herself said that she started treating Chloe as badly as she did was that Chloe and Christi taught some choreography at a meet and greet which was against their contract.
Plus, Lifetime made them sign contracts saying they weren't allowed to do any shows or appearances, etc. without Lifetime's permission. So if the girls were offered an opportunity to be on a show like Maddie and Mackenzie eventually did, they weren't allowed to. It's a big reason Maddie, McKenzie, and Jojo all left the show.
It's all BS, though, and I agree the producers (and Abby) had zero right to do so. ((IIRC, the contracts weren't even legal.))
I think it’s nice she choreographed for the little girl obviously she’s not a dance teacher but she has experience. She’s literally the best on the team.. I also get holly Abby is hella biased
there’s no rule that says you have to be a licensed choreographer to create someone’s dances. kalani is not a dance teacher, but she’s allowed to choreograph a dance. plus i don’t think kira and kalani even signed the contract anyway haha

True but when you sign a contract you have to uphold that. I was on a dance company for three years and I wasn’t even allowed to dye my hair- but I signed a contract to be on that team and I was willing to make a sacrifice. If they don’t like her contract they don’t have to be a part of the team.

What’s wrong with choreographing a solo for someone? It’s not like she was taking the same choreography and same music from an old dance that they did so they could copy it, she was just trying to help a kid out who probably didn’t have a dance teacher or wasn’t apart of apart of a team but still wanted to compete like everyone else. Maddie did the exact same thing for a kid that met her through Make-A-Wish and taught her a dance.

I feel like every season, a new ridiculous "rule" is added to this contract they sign for Abby's studio. Kalani isn't an actual ALDC member. She's only signed on Lifetime's contract for the show. So technically, if Kalani is asked to choreograph a solo for some kid, she is allowed to. Also, Brooke has stated in several meet and greets she went to Candy Apples in season 1 and taught Vivi-Anne how to do chin stands and cartwheels. What's the difference?

It is not about being deluded, its about rules that the rest must follow and Kalani is allowed to do what she wants. You heard Abby say that if the team has to do something, then she has to do it as well.

If that was how you interpreted it, then i feel so sorry for you. Legit, even at the end, Holly only pointed it out because when Holly did something that caused tension, Abby had a go at her, and Kalani does this yet Abby goes to Kira ‘don’t do it again’. Its about equity? And if you’ve been watching long enough you should know Holly is all about that and how she and her daughter have been mistreated for so long its about time they speak up.

I like Kalani, but her being a new addition to the team created a lot of chaos.
The contract isn't even mentionable. How many times in this show have they "ALL" broke that contract. It's pretty sad that those adults are tattle-telling on an 12 year old.

Totally not a big deal. If she broke a contract, it would've been due to an oversight, or maybe the contract was reviewed how many years ago? Kira took it the way any other responsible person would. Abby clarifies Kalani's commitment as a team member and rules, regulations, and Kira nods (without making a big deal of it), and it doesn't happen again. Plus, this wouldn't have come to light if the moms weren't suspicious, paranoid (I know the show's scripted, but still), and anxious, etc. Kalani wasn't seeking attention through teaching/choreographing and neither her or Kira were planning to use the gig for their advantage. Probably just cuz she thought it'd be fun and because she's nice.

Aldc Audio Swaps I don't she signed the ALDC contract. Kalani still compete for club dance. There's no way in hell that would happen if she was under the studio contract. I think she's like Kamryn last year who competed with ALDC off the show along with her own studio. Kind of like guest dancers.
