I totally feel for Nia. I’m always the friend who was left out, the least favourite. I’ve tried to make plans with my friends and they’ve told me they’re busy, and I’ve then found out through social media that they went without me. This has happened constantly over 5 years, and I kept giving them chances, but now I know it’s time to move on. I deserve better.

Dr. Holly by far has to be my favorite dance mom and it’s probably because of her education. She uses logic in her arguments and has a well structured argument that uses facts rather than emotion even though it might be driven by emotion and/or opinion. She doesn’t feel the need to curse and she always has all the kids in mind first over the drama because she actually cares about the children.
Like any other mom. If you were a mom, who’d come first: friends you might not even see after some years, or the mental health and opportunities of your own children?

When she told them the truth from the beginning (like telling the moms that she took Maddie and Kenzie to an agent,) the moms threw a tantrum and asked why they didn’t tell them earlier - like, it’s Melissa’s kids? Why does Melissa have to tell them where she takes her kids? When she stays quiet (like when she doesn’t want to reveal he story about her ring,) the moms keep pressuring her and pushing her to reveal her personal information. When Melissa stays quiet about her divorce on national tv, the moms still pressure her to talk and pester her until she gives in or storms out. So in order to avoid confrontation, she’s forced to lie. If the moms weren’t so absorbed in her life and instead focus more on their own kids, then Melissa wouldn’t have to lie, and can instead peacefully do what’s best for her kids. The funniest thing is, when Kelly left to get a singing opportunity for a Brooke and didn’t tell the moms, then the moms were happy for her. But when Melissa does it, it’s a crime?
I kind of agree with Kelly a little. You have to remember that these moms have other children to take care of, they are married, have houses to take care of, etc. so for Christi to act like a high school teenager and BASICALLY say “if I don’t answer your phone calls come to my house,” that’s ridiculous and childish. That’s also very cunning, to LOOK at your phone, KNOW the exact date and time your friend called you and “test them,” versus calling them back like an adult.
I think Christi was just going through something and wanted to feel like Kelly was her real friend and cared enough but forgot Kelly had her own life going on. I’m glad they are friends again and I hope Kelly’s cancer heals fast and fully.

What I will say is Holly is a good one to have stayed the entire time while enduring all they endured, Nia being constantly looked over, given stereotypical roles, etc. I commend her for staying professional and always having her daughters back and speaking up when she needed too.

The show was definitely in it's prime during Series 1-3 in my eyes, when we had Chloe, Paige, Brooke, Nia, Kenzie, Maddie and Kendall all dancing together. After Chloe, Paige, Brooke, Christi and Kelly all left, the show just didn't feel the same, nothing about the group really flowed as well as it should've, and most of the newer cast were all portrayed as extremely toxic. But one things for sure, Series 4-7 were a lot more tolerable than Series 8.
Not everything is about race. I think she's 'protective' only because she's intelligent, she's an educator, meaning she's extremely aware of mutual respect, boundaries, etc.

Dr. Holly by far has to be my favorite dance mom and it’s probably because of her education. She uses logic in her arguments and has a well structured argument that uses facts rather than emotion even though it might be driven by emotion and/or opinion. She doesn’t feel the need to curse and she always has all the kids in mind first over the drama because she actually cares about the children.

I honestly feel like Melissa lied because the moms got mad at her for everything.
When she told them the truth from the beginning (like telling the moms that she took Maddie and Kenzie to an agent,) the moms threw a tantrum and asked why they didn’t tell them earlier - like, it’s Melissa’s kids? Why does Melissa have to tell them where she takes her kids?
When she stays quiet (like when she doesn’t want to reveal he story about her ring,) the moms keep pressuring her and pushing her to reveal her personal information. When Melissa stays quiet about her divorce on national tv, the moms still pressure her to talk and pester her until she gives in or storms out.
So in order to avoid confrontation, she’s forced to lie. If the moms weren’t so absorbed in her life and instead focus more on their own kids, then Melissa wouldn’t have to lie, and can instead peacefully do what’s best for her kids.
The funniest thing is, when Kelly left to get a singing opportunity for a Brooke and didn’t tell the moms, then the moms were happy for her. But when Melissa does it, it’s a crime?
I mean I wouldn’t care about a “friendship” with a bunch of people who probably don’t even like me either. At best we’d be acquaintances 🤷🏽♀️
I kind of agree with Kelly a little. You have to remember that these moms have other children to take care of, they are married, have houses to take care of, etc. so for Christi to act like a high school teenager and BASICALLY say “if I don’t answer your phone calls come to my house,” that’s ridiculous and childish. That’s also very cunning, to LOOK at your phone, KNOW the exact date and time your friend called you and “test them,” versus calling them back like an adult.
I love Christi and Kelly but I thought the whole feud was pretty much over nothing and it was pretty stupid why they were fighting to begin with
I think Christi was just going through something and wanted to feel like Kelly was her real friend and cared enough but forgot Kelly had her own life going on. I’m glad they are friends again and I hope Kelly’s cancer heals fast and fully.
The way Melissa overdramatized everything and then would make every situation about her children when the other moms very clearly pointed out that it was an issue between THEM is so sad. They were having arguments between adult women and Melissa made it somehow about her children and always ran to Abby. It’s so sad and I hope her girls are loved and feeling confident despite some of Melissa’s actions
Melissa shouldn’t be saying Holly should just “back down” are you serious? your children don’t get treated nearly as bad as Nia and JoJo
Abby did treat the Zeiglers bad but not as worst as nia and Holly and honestly Abby did treat all the kids bad but the producers made Abby lovvvvvvve the Zeiglers more for drama 🎭

Most of their childhood was working and working, maddy even said all the trophies she won she threw away. Melissa picked their lives for them when they were so little. What I will say is Holly is a good one to have stayed the entire time while enduring all they endured, Nia being constantly looked over, given stereotypical roles, etc. I commend her for staying professional and always having her daughters back and speaking up when she needed too.

The show was definitely in it's prime during Series 1-3 in my eyes, when we had Chloe, Paige, Brooke, Nia, Kenzie, Maddie and Kendall all dancing together. After Chloe, Paige, Brooke, Christi and Kelly all left, the show just didn't feel the same, nothing about the group really flowed as well as it should've, and most of the newer cast were all portrayed as extremely toxic. But one things for sure, Series 4-7 were a lot more tolerable than Series 8.

I think holly is overprotective of nia because she knows how the world works and how POC are treated in this world.
Not everything is about race. I think she's 'protective' only because she's intelligent, she's an educator, meaning she's extremely aware of mutual respect, boundaries, etc.

@@miavalcuikaite1956 it is. As a dancer in most of my dance classes no one is a person of colour and they’re all white blonde/brunette girls. And they’re great but it’s hard being the only person of colour their and Nia went through the same thing. In the dance world it can be hard.
