My take away is that in all of MFJJ’s vast free time he needs to design a bow technicians course. Once or twice a year, 10 guys in person training. Those guys will reach many archers that aren’t ever going to be on RUclips.

I learn something new every time I watch or rewatch one of your guy's videos. Whether it's this podcast, Podium Archer,or Elk Shape, it's always something I've needed.
Thank you so much for your golden information and explanations

Push, pull, push, pull. I have heard it, I have read it. But for the first time someone MFJJ explained it so I got it, it’s not push, pull, it is contract your back. Went and tried and oh my 😊, that is what I have been missing. Thank you guys, keep it up.

That's awesome that your going to be coming to MN to get your buck hunting on. I'm guessing if your coming from Wis. Your going to be in the Duluth area (roughly) or north of their. It's really good as far as area goes to hunt. What sucks, depending on the zone, a lot in that area you have a 1 buck limit for archery. But.....But.....season opener is in a couple days baby. Can't wait to use my new bow I got this year to take a white tail. Can't wait.

Dude Josh wasn't kidding about the push/pull. I'm much more steady at anchor and most it seems MUCH harder to torque with your grip hand if you're focusing on pushing

Looks like MFJJ needs to do a more detailed video on the exact timing of the pushing and pulling. I notice that I get more movement and shakier the longer I push/pull. But maybe I'm doing it too long. Definitely need more details from the experts.

I have a question for the preload portion and all the pushing and pulling. On a bow with cable stops, does too much preload or push & pull cause serving separation?

Any chance you can cover yolk tuning on the evolve system. When you do that video. I know its supposed to be more fine tuning since its on the cam but there are not alot of good videos that talk about the system today.

On the lost podcast you were talking about rangefinders and the angle compensation, and I can tell you why they're wrong.
It's extremely complex and no archery rangefinder, that i know of, is doing all of the correct math, in part because the error isn't that big.
So gravity only effects the arrow across the distance perpendicular to the earth, which is shorter than line of sight, but the arrow is still flying the LOS distance, so it's still is subject to drag over the entire flight path.
So rather than change the yardage it would be best to calculate it off of time of flight, however that changes based on environmentals, altitude, station pressure, temperature, humidity (humidity is so small we can ignore it) and no archery range finder takes all that into consideration.
So they'll all always be a little off but some will be closer depending on how exactly and where they're compensating for the angle

I've been practicing holding for 1 minute at full draw then releasing out to 50 yards. After holding for 1 full minute I'm always right by 4-8 inches. Everything feels good on release but not sure if I'm jerking trigger or pushing riser.

You're collapsing on the shot. You still might be at full draw but your arms are going towards your chest sending your arrow right

    • @Orr_s
      @Orr_s Год назад +1

To me this seems counter productive as in it will always be harder to achieve good groups doing this, instead of focusing on repetition of technique and timing and shot process. But also often times you will have to hold long on an animal until the time is right to shoot, but i feel at that point adrenalin kind of takes over and your on auto pilot from all the practice

MFJJ... do you think it is possible to be push/pulling hard enough into the wall that you are actually getting a noticeable jump in speed??
I'm pretty sure I had a realization like Tim that some shots I wasn't loading as hard because it just seemed like my arrow was flying either dead or had a extra zip to it!! The "more zippy" shots would always hit tighter also, so I've been focusing on loading harder since then!!

Im not impressed by how many bows you set up for different hunting or target.who has that many bows to their access except a dealer. The skill wouls be using the same setup for all conditions. And Tim. Golf is one of those sports that can frustrate you as I have heard. Archery can as well. All you want to do is shoot well. How about all you want to do is enjoy it. You guys give up little things about your personalities that expose some insecurities.

So, ever have an issue with the release hanging up when blank bailing? Not likely. Mentally Not trusting the float and letting the subconscious "thought" control your release is the issue.. I recommend more Joel @shotiq training 😀
