I met Wyatt at DelFest Academy and he was definitely the wünderkind that year. I had no idea he was going to get that much better and blow up like he did! There are a lot of kids his age who are close to his technical skill level, but I think the mandolin elders like Ronnie McCoury recognized a deeper understanding of the music in him. That deeper understanding really shows in this video. Great interview.
