Hello Mr. Werbock, I am a Mugam lover from Europe like you. I sing Mugam but I am not a Professional singer. I have a question, you know that most of the Mugam singers are Tenors but I am a Baritone, is it necessary to be a Tenor for being a Mugam Xanende (singer) ? Thank you, Regards :)
Sorry for late reply, I haven't been monitoring the comments as I should have. There are no rules that I am aware of regarding what register you sing mugham; it's just typical that mugham singers tend to be tenors and sopranos.

@@Shakhinur My personal preference is lower register; the high registers are impressive but not so deeply satisfying to listen to as much as lower register. Sing where it is comfortable; mugham is a healing force in a painful world, sing.
