But, for solar it doesn't really matter, just connect one lead to rhe top of the stack and one to the bottom, for better charging..And have the appropriate size cables..T class fuse...
A local business owner who sells or dismantles solar equipment had the EG4 server rack with 5 of the EG4 batteries so about 25KWh. Had them on OfferUp for a few months. He said he'd sell it to me for $4,000. I passed on it. Looking back on it I really wish I had bought it.
I’m so glad I found this channel. Thanks for the info on your experience with the ruixu battery so far. My eg418k is being delivered tomorrow and now I need to get serious about the battery rack. Can you point me in the right direction to understand the differences between eg4’s lifepower4, LL, and these ruixu batteries?
A BMS is what shuts off the batteries the breaker is only if there is a short from the DC to the Inverter on the Inverters there is there own breakers. But I understand your thinking process on this.
Ive built both my batteries. One is a 24 volt 24 modules from a nissan leaf. My other battery is 24 volt but its eve280k cells 16 cells and just ordered 16 more cells. Should be about 30 kw of lifepo4 and not sure how many kw of the leaf cells but probably 7kw i figure. I run two seperate systems. The leaf cells run my 38 seer minisplit and my lifepo battery runs everything else. I like the plugnplqy batteries you have but i didnt really have the money to go that direction. Thanks for showing ypur system
Thanks for sharing I completely understand where you are coming from. We all start from some where this is how we learn more by thinking out side the box and actually doing. Nothing wrong with what you are doing keep on going buddy at the end of the day you will know more then most about batteries. You don't need nice packaged batteries has long as your happy with what your doing that's all that matters in the end. Sounds like your on the right track don't worry about how it looks, if it works that what matters.
I have 4 of the 48v 5kw EG4-LL batteries in a 6 battery cabinet. I want to get a couple more to fill it up, but batteries aren't cheap. The RUiXU batteries look pretty nice, I wonder if they can communicate with the EG4's. I have the 8Kw version of the Growatt, and the fans are pretty loud, but has been running great, handles my electric dryer (4500 watts) no problem.
Sounds like you have an awesome system. 👍 I would double check RUIXU.COM website they have a list of inverters that this battery will work with. It should work because the eg4 LL batteries and lifepower4 batteries are very similar. They use BMS communication ports to communicate with the inverter. Reach out to RUIXU support tell um modern Off Grid DIY RUclips channel sent you and they should be able to help and might give a discount on your batteries if you decide to buy. I don't have the eg4 inverter so I can't speak to it much but I think they use the same type of Protocols on their inverters as growatt does.

A bus bar like in the rack is much better then daisychaning. Down the chain the amps grow fast!
Yes only if you have more the 2 in line.

Can we get and update on the finish of the house. Take care.
I will definitely do an update on the whole home and inside
Now that you have had them for awhile, any problems mixing Ruixu with EG4batteries? Do you use a Tclass fuse between the battery bank and inverter ?

I enjoy your videos very much,am more interested wind energy...hows your wind turbine doing???
I prefer the breaker shutoff because I know the contacts are being physically disconnected inside.

Plus the breaker could save your system, or house from burning down, if the Bms fails and there is a short in the system...Which does happen...

eh i don't know if daisy chaining is a good idea? even the official RUIXU server rack video, they use the bus bar and not daisy chaining it
How is the technical support?
