Using the MSI MPG Z790 EDGE TI MAX WIFI, can you run a GPU at 16x and a M.2 gen. 5 NVMe? If so, what ports do you use? Thank you for the help...this could be a banger mobo if true!

Love the way the reviewer empties the box of the base motherboard with total derision.

Great video! I have an MSI MPG Edge WiFi DDR4 from last year running a 13700K.
One of the interesting things that isn't mentioned here is the PCI-e slot wiring. The top end Ace Max has the two upper Gen 5.0 slots that are configured for bifurcation directly to the CPU. This is reinforced in the user manual, which has specific instructions for multi-GPU setups. So a second GPU will drop the top slot to 5.0x8.
On the other hand (I haven't checked the Tomahawk in a while), the other two boards have x16 size slots, but the second x16 slot only supports x4 wiring (4.0x4), and that is via the chipset, and not the CPU.
I only know this boring information, as I was wanted to have a second GPU on my current MPG Edge, on the lower x16 slot.

Glad you pointed out that these board manufacturers run the power levels at levels that are not 'sane'. Haven't seen any other RUclipsrs talk about this even when saying "the cpu runs hot, it might burn your house down", claiming it is Intel's ptoblems. lol.

Can't really go wrong with any of these really and as Leon pointed out a lot really depends on what CPU you are going to stick in there.

It's the mark of a great video when the reaction is "More!" As with the AMD video, I would have liked to have seen you discuss and demonstrate the expandability of these boards by actually plugging in other cards (10 GbE and video capture being the obvious ones). With the Max board can you plug your GPU into the second X16 slot and plug - say - a 4x M.2 riser board into the slot closest to the CPU and have both fully work? But I appreciate you have only so much time. Keep up the good work.

The mid range board in this one looks like the best value for money overall. Regarding hardware support and features etc.

Personally, i think that both AMD and Intel need to enforce base performance settings in the bios with their motherboard venders. Then on unlocked overclockable CPU's, establish exactly what voids CPU warranty and set fused options in the CPU's so that if overlocking is done, the fuses are cut which will simplify warranty claims. Overclocking is an "At-will" process and motherboard makers are essentially forcing it on everyone which in a roundabout way; they are voiding your warranty for you which happily AMD and intel and standing behind their CPU's. I'm totally for some level of user tuning and it should be allowed without voiding warranties. However, there's a point where it should and personally, modifying voltages such over-volt or under-volt should be two situations where warranties should be voided. Simply because both situations run the CPU out of electrical specification set by the manufacturer of said CPU. As an example, instances where under-volt is done to save power, perhaps buying a lower power CPU is a better option.

Massive price discrepancy between retail and what you can actually pick them up for. Bit unnecessary having such large headline prices.

Hello there, i have the MAG B760 TOMAHWAK WIFI with an intel 13500. The mobo gives at the cpu 1.5 volts and 500 A by default and it s only allows me to lower the voltage by 0,050 volts in bios. Any ideas how i lower the voltage > ty
