Mr.bungle are the gods of experimental rock Faith No More is second but they've definitely influenced many bands and nu metal bands. Both are legendary in their own way.
Hard to really say between the two with the same person getting them both to that point. But FNM were already setting that precedent before he got there. When he did he was able to bring up Bungle too. FNM I’d have Forst just due to circumstance. But we’re splitting hairs here. Aren’t they both just the bees knees?
I'm sure Faith No More has influenced quite bands that's considered nu metal or alternative metal. They are a bad ass band and I have to admit Korn definitely did the song justice.
Yeah….they did a fantastic job! It’s always “mind blowing” when a band (we never would expect to do) does a cover of one of our favorite songs and “knocks it into Left Field!!!!
And there ya are brother. I just never partake of social media, but alright-alright-alright. I care a LOT. And about everything KoRn. (also: welcome for showing you it; your love of the band and comment makes me more proud to know that I did ahow it to ya, love)
Just so anyone knows: Mike Patton formed Mr. Bungle and was in that FIRST, FNM saw him perform live and asked him to sing for them. FNM's sound was more "mainstream" so they got signed and promoted to a bigger degree, also while Anthony Keidis of RHCP kept booting Mr. Bungle out of his concert tours because he was a jealous bitch.. but Mr. Bungle was first.
Man.! I didn't know about this cover. It's an amazing song both the original and cover. When did they release this cover? Fieldy is amazing playing the bass.
The original has a fun whimsical sound about it. I love Johnathan Davis rawness in his voice. I never had a problem with a cover Korn has done. A little disappointed that they did not include the line about the Garbage Pail Kids they never lie. However the MTV line was pretty good
Aren’t you all being a little harsh. This isn’t meant to outdo or even be the original. Just guys wanting to play a song they like. Don’t take it too seriously. I quite like it for what it is. They dun gewd.
How can I download this?? I want to listen to it without having to come on youtube! It's not on spotify - I'D PAY FOR THIS, BUT IT ISN'T EVEN ON ITUNES! KORN WHY?!?
there have been rumors that korn will do a "korn kovers" album. I always feel like those download websites don't get the maximum quality since youtube compresses it, but I guess it's the best I got
Cool sound, its bad ass appreciate your music I'm going to record my song today.A lot patience and messing up . Need to keep the faith with making music I'm solo artist.Plus old friend to you Korn!
@@joaofragaomaiorial Então, Victor... kkkkk. Já faz 2 anos que escrevi esse comentário e de lá pra cá escutei muita coisa boa do Korn. Wake Up, Here To Stay, Freak On a Leash e esse cover do FNM são as minhas tracks favoritas deles. Tmj! 🤙
Great! Just one mistake I found ... this song doest finish with "It is a dirty job but someone has to do it" but it finishes with "Said, it's a dirty song but someone has to sigh it!"
Never knew this existed. I love that Korn covered og FNM with Chuck! Props!
It could be Patton's version you know.
@@trieme Patton's version was a cover.
@@Freshbrood No, it wasn't. A band can't cover itself. They call it "version".
@@trieme Changing a couple sentences does not make it a new song. There is very little difference from Chuck's version. That is called a cover.
@@Freshbrood You called it Chuck's "version".
That’s how much mighty Korn - together with the whole nu metal scene - really owe to faith no more
its a dirty job but someones gotta say RIP CHUCK
RIP Chuck, we care a lot!
Great cover version. The original will always be the best, but Korn rocked the fuck outta this song.
Mike does it better
@@user-yk8dp5kv6n Chuck was the best.
Good job, guys! Faith no More are the gods of alternative metal and experimental rock
Mr.bungle are the gods of experimental rock Faith No More is second but they've definitely influenced many bands and nu metal bands. Both are legendary in their own way.
SupersonicPug Korn are huge fans of both
@@sussychachi So you define who is first and second in musical influences? Amen man.
@@sussychachi Mr. Bungle gets short if we compare their stuff to early Faith No More records.

Excellent... Captured that 80s sound while still maintaining the Korn feel. Like others, I too am embarrassed I've never heard this before:(
As a Faith No More nerd and nu metal enjoyer I am incredibly happy abt this
Check out the Slaves on dope quarantine covers, they did this song and a killer version of public enemy's, she watch channel zero
And also, check out Mike Bordin filling in for Korn on tour.. He was EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude seems absolutely ageless.... Apart from the completely gray dreads.
He’s the only person who I can see filling in for David Silveria. Bordin rocks.
I saw Korn after they released Issues at Nassau Coliseum and Borodin was drumming; fucking epic show.
And here I thought no band would have enough dreads to rival FNM's
This isn't a surprising stretch considering that Korn had said FNM was a big influence. Love this version.
I'm sure Faith No More has influenced quite bands that's considered nu metal or alternative metal. They are a bad ass band and I have to admit Korn definitely did the song justice.
How have I not heard this cover before? This is fucking insane!
Yeah….they did a fantastic job! It’s always “mind blowing” when a band (we never would expect to do) does a cover of one of our favorite songs and “knocks it into Left Field!!!!
Wish Korn would play like this so much groove in this track 🤘🤘🤘 this reminds me of old school Korn 98-99
KoRn do great covers!
Yes! Another brick on the wall, word up!, would? ...
That rythem section killed it!
Who else is discovering this gem for the first time in 2019?
I love fnm and korn picked the perfect one for what they do best! This is fire
Yup

I always though Korn would cover FNM sooner or later, they’re like the biggest FNM fanboys alive.
Not to mention Mr. Bungle, too.
@@bobthebear1246 Korn often uses a tritone chord that they nicknamed "the Mr. Bungle Chord"
Man, perfect song for these fd up times....someone's got to do it
I love it
2022 & a 1000 plus times listened my ears are still begging for more BLESS YOU
