Also, if any folks are deeply and understandably intimidated by the sheer size and crunch of the big corporate OGL lineage games, I gotta give a big recommendation rules light indie games like Mörk Borg or Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells, or narrative games like the Powered by the Apocalypse family of games.

It smelled moist and uncomfortable, which is exactly what I wanted. At Twin Mask I'm going more into the story aspect instead of logi, and I'm looking forward to using smell for mods.
I giggled when you mentioned that every Disney princess needs an animal companion. My druid has Bambo (Rambo Bambi). It’s an Elk (yes, I know Bambi is a deer) that is my spirit animal I summon. And it thumps and kills bad guys. I love him. Lol.
I love playing dnd with my friends, it's the best time of the week for me but I always get so out of it halfway through, either start drawing or just doze off. I have never thought of trying stuff like this when i play and now i have some great ideas, thank you a lot for this x3
I love having physical representations of in-game things! I bought a series of special tokens for potions-- they're like clear plastic bottle shapes with a hole in the middle, and you can put a plastic "liquid" token into it to represent its contents. When you drink that potion, you just pop out the middle and then its an empty bottle! And different colors can represent different kinds of potions. They're adorable and very handy! I'll also use plastic "gems" of different colors to represent spell slots, or tokens to represent special resources or class abilities, etc.

This is so incredibly helpful. The only time I’ve been able to play DnD in the past several years was online and I ended up quitting because it was so hard to focus. I’m suddenly inspired to look for a group to play with and give it another go.
Great ideas! I played AD&D back in the 70's and 80's(yes, I'm a fossil!) Food and drinks were always involved during a gaming session. It added to the feeling of a true social gathering and made us look forward to the next session. We would have loved to have access to sources of ideas/tips available now. Love this! I’ve been trying to do research on ways to create immersive environments at home and on a budget - so not only is this video perfect, but the fact that it’s a series is brilliant! 🌈
Thank YOU Momo (and Ginny) for the amazing and light-hearted videos. Your aesthetic is one of my top favorites on youtube, (especially since Marzia (Pewdiepie's wife) no longer posts on youtube, she had a similar sweet type of video like yours). The cuteness of your videos is a balm to the soul.
Love this idea, I do sorta similar stuff when I play in my dnd games! I tend to drink cider or beer since my character visits taverns and grew up on an orchard, or burn candles that are mostly outsideish smells like mahogany or just regular wood smoke. Immersion is always a blast.
Two people I admire and are my biggest inspiration in DnD in one video. I'm so blessed ♥ This video is a must and now I'm gonna share with anyone I know that plays DnD! I had stopped playing for the same reasons you spoke of at the beginning but would love to get back into it again if I ever find a group I can vibe with that fits into my schedule… those are still a struggle…
This video is absolutely amazing, thank you for sharing all your wisdom!!! It's made me so much more excited about learning to play D&D in the future!!!

Thanks for letting me play along for this video!! 🥰 it came out AMAZING!!

One of the big reason I dropped crunchy games. I loved 4 and 5 but now that I'm pushing 40? I like a game that plays faster.
I get why people gravitate towards DnD, but there are tons of TTRPGS that don't rely on math and are more roleplay focused.

This video is just chefs kiss so wonderful
Absolutely lovely video as always ! I got an ad for roll 20 before I rewatched this-
When Momo eyeballed that $8 cheese, I nearly choked. On a smoked cheddar. I'm in Wisconsin and cheese gets WAY more pricey than that XD
Thank you for this beautiful inspiring video! I can't wait to start up our cam-again again using your tips. Looking forward to more in this new series.
Momo and Ginny Di: two of my favorite nerdy youtubers COLLABORATING IN A VIDEO?!? WHY AM I JUST NOW FINDING THIS VIDEO?!?
Also ur chicken bag is basically d&d heihei from Moana and I love it
Watching this for the third time (thanks Patreon!) to make the algorithm work for you - keep it up!
Thank you for putting into words why I have been anxious about D&D 😂 MATH. D&D Beyond sounds amazing. I had stopped playing for the same reasons you spoke of at the beginning but would love to get back into it again if I ever find a group I can vibe with that fits into my schedule… those are still a struggle…
This is one of my favourite of your videos yet it was so goood :)
You put so much work into these videos and it shows.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing our candles with your amazing subscribers. :)
This was so helpful, I am definitelly going to use these ideas in my next game!
This video is absolutely amazing, thank you for sharing all your wisdom!!! It's made me so much more excited about learning to play D&D in the future!!!
This girl is soo gorgeous ! I totally got lost in the video. Love the energy !
It's good to see you looking happy, and I love the chicken bag:)
Excellent video!
Thank you for your time and effort. 🎉🎉
If you have a champain set in the sea, Old Whaling Company has the most realistic ocean smelling candles ever! I use their perfume, but my mom has their candles and her home smells like the ocean now
awesome tips! i’m definitely going to use more of these the next time I play, thanks for sharing! just a tip for people who enjoy ttrpg/rp in general but feel like d&d has too much math … maybe try a different ttrpg! games based on the Powered by the Apocalypse system are more rp heavy and less math-y from my experience. i’ve been having fun with the games Monster Of The Week and City of Mist lately.
OMG Please do a video on immersive movie nights!! It could even be a series depending on the genre!!
Thank you for sharing your playlists! As a newbie DM, I'm always on the hunt for good background music. Much appreciated.
Your videos inspire me so much. Thank you, MoMo. Wishing all the best for you!
I loved this! And that charcuterie board looked so delicious! Thank you for sharing
Great video Momo :) gonna have to check out those candles for sure. Thanks for sharing your time with us and I'll catch you on the next one ☕
