Professor Mary Elise Sarotte is the Kravis Professor in the Kissinger Center of the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Her most recent work Not One Inch: America, Russia, and the Making of Post-Cold War Stalemate was named Foreign Affairs Book of the Year. In this discussion, she explains that Nordic countries have always had a special place within NATO.
