After 3 days of google searching, I finally come across your video. If you are willing, I would love to learn how you build the RFID emulator. There are plenty of devices to read/write/clone RFID information, but I am trying to make a device that can store 6 different RFID codes, and I can flip a switch to chose which one is being transmitted.
That was an interesting video, thank you for sharing! If you are still doing things with this project after 5 years, have you made any advances or other interestings discovery about the subjets? Or maybe found new tools to help with what was stopping you?
Thank you for the vote of confidence. A lot has happened since 2008 when this UofI project ended. I should really pull this project back out of mothballs... :) There is far more to be learned...
@@MrAgentCD I encountered your video recently after starting to search more about how RFID/NFC work, later after that I encountered Software Defined Radio and how that work, that made me wonder if there was a way to make both interact together. In a practical example that could be interesting during a fire alarm that something like that broadcast an opening signal to unlock all the door. Or at a prank level ring a store RFID alarm... You can count me as a new subscriber if you ever continue with this project, that start was interesting! I'd love to see more one day!

you could solve the problem with an hf amp
Really? I'm not so certain that would work, as I recall the HID cards/rcvrs were running at 125kHz as well... just at a much faster data rate...
