It's tough to hold NFL teams to no TD's, even The Giants. Half of the Giants points were courtesy of CJ Ham, and the Vikings defense outscored the Giants. I thought the Vikings were looking at their best defense since 19', and watching yesterday's game my opinion certainly hasn't changed. We have the second year of a top 5 DC in the league, and now he has the type of front 7 that he likes to play with. You can still win a fair amount of games playing good defense.
It's only one game for the Vikes, but I hope you're open to reconsidering my suggestion that Darnold could be as efficient as Kirk, maybe better. This is how Darnold played for those last 6 games in 2022, and in the 4 drives he had with the 49er starters.
I'm a see it to believe it guy. You can talk yourself into anything in theory. If he *does* it, then we'll have a lot to discuss about how he's accomplishing that but sitting here and listing off all the outcomes that *could* happen isn't much of a conversation,
@@LockedOnVikings Sure, but isn't that the whole point of following an NFL team, trying to predict what will happen? My argument was that Kirk's recent form elevation might be attributed more to KOC's playcalling and elite play from Jettas and the like. So I was expecting Kirk to look worse, and Sam to look significantly better. I'm also arguing that Sam has been playing decent for a while, but most folks haven't bothered to look back at his 2022-23 play and are basing their views on out of date info. I don't expect folks to change their mind until about week 4,5,6, but it will just be a bandwagon by then.
The announcer really had to lay the announcer's curse on Sam Darnold's completion streak. The very first pass after they started talking about it was an incompletion 😂.
I think we learned some floors and ceilings in this game. Sam Darnold’s floor is that he should be able to beat a decent defense when there’s no “we’re behind” pressure. That’s leagues better than any of our backups last year. We also saw the defense’s ceiling, which, man was that a pretty high ceiling. Leads you to believe the floor for the defense can’t be that low. All exciting. Side note: the giants uniforms weren’t awful. The helmets weren’t awful. The combo was awful. They’re both from different eras, and they should’ve stayed in different eras lol.
I think Sam is a "good" NFL QB, but he's not good enough to elevate those around him. He really needs people around him to bring his game up. He had great talent around him at SC, but poor coaching. Before last year he had neither in his NFL life. In Minnesota he has both, and I suspect he'll play well enough to give the Vikings a chance in most games this season, and give himself a chance to get a multi-yearr contract next year in the league, ironically maybe with the Giants.
The RUclips channel I watched from New York was saying that the Giants got smacked by The Vikings and this is a team that you shouldn't get smacked by because basically The Vikings suck it's laughable we stomped on them they beat us in the playoffs before because we had ED DONNA SHELL so say what? Huh?? B FLO MIC 🎤 DROP SKOLLLLLLL to the bowl

I'm learning to hope again!

Looked great yesterday. I know we have a tough schedule but it looks like CMC will be out next week, so let’s keep these good times rollin!

after being on a good vikings team, no way I would go to the giants
Skol.
Addison is a genuinely small person. In the big, fast, strong, world of the NFL, He is going to be bouncing from injury to injury.

Luke, my dude, those uniforms were trash. They looked like they forgot to wear pants.
Giants played as ugly as their uniforms. Vikings won't have many games against offenses that putrid.
