What fans don't know, this is the first competition this season, so they had the first time jitters going on, so look out from this point forward. Umm yall 2016 bayou classic had to be the best botb that crowd was on fire. While others said they thought both bands was boring because rap isn't played. But ppl have to understand that Su vs jsu works well because of similar styles of playing vs gsu vs Su it comes down to what you like or prefer but I'm sure both will perform well but its other games to look forward too until bayou classic
EvansIsLegend they never had full 5ths back then the real fifth from both was early 98 and it was 2 songs and out both bands never got a chance to shine in the stands but both killed halftime. Hell gsu wanted to play this pv too

Fantastic job by both bands but Marching Storm prevailed. It's time for Marching Storm Band to get the recognition it deserves when it comes to battling with the bands in SWAC. They're headed to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for a reason but keeps gettings snubbed in SWAC, what's up with that????
Walter Jackson ..Its there marching field shows formations .. They r always marching all out of place..wen they are marching from formation to formation..I am Gramfam for life . Pv always plays&sounds good and they always bring the watts ..Every band has weakness..i dont care if Bethune Cookman..Famu .Su,Jsu .pvr tGram. Ive been attending cotton bowl classic since 1986 and pv band has came a long long way..They have allways had watts and very poor field formations ..and thats some of the reason why pv is not getting all the recognition in the swac .....So Marching Storm you have to learn to follow bfore you can lead . Dr Larry Pannell is a Pioneer of Music he learned from the best Our Beloved Conrad Hutchinson..
GSU sounds good thisyear look like they are on a come back......Keep it up...they need just a little bit more brass and mellows and b-tones...and PVU needs to go back to the "B.O.X." era!! That percussion section was tearing others to shreads!! But they both sound good!! WOW!!

What does gsu vs pv have to do with southern comments saying pv win gsu win but not stronger than southern ppl everyone doesn't look up nor want to be southern and GSU and pvu are two bands who don't you can tell by field shows and overall sound quit bringing southern in other bands stuff unless they're facing them Su does have their own schedule. Y'all homers are funny. There's no conceivable way Grambling won this unless you're judging just on effort because they tried. They are definitely better than they have been in recent years but they're still a couple of notches below the top tier bands. They're somewhere in the Norfolk category but definitely coming up. But don't gas them up to thinking they're back to where they used to be. There's still a lot of work to be done. This wasn't PVAMU's best performance but still good enough for the win.
Grams arrangements are pretty basic....and that's cool....it works for them....but if they added volume along with the control they already have, they would be passing out Ls.....I just wish they open up....
